Thanks, BB, for the insight on the Quest. When my boat sells, I will be in the market for everything new. My MinnKota is a 2014 and still going strong. It seems everything is pairing together. MinnKota with Hummingbird. Lowrance with Lowrance. Garmin with Garmin. Oh, well. Thanks for sharing, BassBlaster
I think for some time all the manufacturers have been trying to build their own electronic networks, which is why Lowwrance and Garmin came out with their trollers...
Do you need to step on the assembly when deployed for it to lock in? In the video the person explaining it stepped on the bracket to lock it down similar to old motorguide units.
@@JayKumarsBassBlasterdoes the Ultrex Quest have the same bolt pattern as the legacy Ultrex? I trying to avoid drilling new holes in my boat. The boat still has the new car smell with a 7 year old Ultrex.
@@JayKumarsBassBlasterpeople will find anything to complain about, especially when they stick 3 graphs on top of the trolling motor & expect no cables to be in "their" way..lol great video man..
Maybe it’s just me, but why can’t Minn Kota - the #1 trolling motor company, make a foot pedal that is Lt foot top corner button and a rt foot top corner button: say for someone who wants the button on the right top. Just asking- I would buy that in a second
I was hoping for better cable management of some sort. The rigging with the target lock is absurd. I do t see any innovation here; just a brushless motor with associated upgrades to handle the power.
They do have some sort of cable management, sorry can't remember the details, not sure what you mean about Target Lock, and while it is brushless and more powerful, it's for sure more than that. Suggest watching KVD's FB vid for good detail: facebook.com/watch/?v=771897081295207
No, thank you! No more Ultrex on my boat! Bought one in '18, spot lock and Nav quit by '20. Smh plus, You spend 15 minutes every hour or two unclogging the motor of weeds. Just not a very good product. Minnkota, you screwed the pooch on this 2.5k poc.
