Bro Vikito Yeptho, File a lawsuit against the Diphupar Police Station for an unlawful arrest. The court will make the police department compensate you and necessary action against the drunken police personnel 👍🏻First you can draft a complain to SHO or DIG, and if it turn out unhelpful then hire a lawyer and go straight to the court. Remember this! Never go to police station to register a complain.

Forgiving is personal. But the law is for all. The law is for upholding basic moral human values. You can forgive him, for the wrongs he has done, you can forgive him for the personal grievances he has caused. However, whatever the law dictates to be the consequences of his crimes is not for you or anyone to decide but for the law to decide. Sometimes genuine love and care comes from allowing people to learn and grow without interfering as long as the law is fair and just. People grow and learn from dealing with the consequences of their actions. And it is different for every individual, based on their moral values, intentions, proclivity to certain actions. However, when the case is not a civil suit but a criminal suit. Those actions are not just against the individual but a society. Allowing the law to take it's due course without interfering out of emotions is not sensible, or loving toward your society or his other victims if he chooses to follow the same path, and does not help him or his family or anyone. Nobody is above the law, even the victims, to decide if they can just allow a criminal to be free. When a crime is committed and a victim allows the perpetrator to think they can get away with such crimes. It establishes a negative reinforcement and many more victim's are created because one person decided to allow such conduct. We must make very sure the kinds of decisions we make, if our decisions make him into a bigger criminal by allowing him to be free or allow ourself to let him go if he is genuinely willing to change. But if he was. He would be the one to apologise and request you not his parents. So whatever decision we make i hope its out of love for everyone and for the best of everyone.

Just some years ago I also went to east police station to filed an fir at around 7 pm I was threatened to put in lock up for coming to report an fir all the policemen and the in charge were in drunk.
