Levi and Yvan.. I love the" Detalks" series. The segments are very informative. I don't know if this was intentional... but the pronunciation name of the series rhymes with "detox"... helping detailers to "detoxify" their businesses from bad methods of doing business!
Awesome video guys, and great point on the simplistic way of approaching customers needs. I used to get way over board on explaining when all they would want is a ''shiny' car lol and a quick basic wash/wax.

Great idea on leaving the brochure in cars. I maintained a vehicle for a guy every three months for over 4 years. He calls me one day and asks if I know how to care for paint that has Opti-Coat on it because he just had it applied. He went to another place to have it done. I told him we also do Opti-Coat, he had no idea and said he would have went with me. This was clearly my failure in communicating to my clients the services I provide. I took it for granted they knew already.

Thanks for the tips if selling. How about selling other products you dont have like PPF or Tint, how you gonna sell them and how to tie up with other shops do that job and get 10 to 15% of the sell?
You have less than 10 sec to gets the customers attention, keep is simple in the words that the customer understands. You are selling a service plus results.
It's hard to make money where I am at. I use my explorer as my showcase. I have different products on different areas to show them what they get for what they pay
Customers so many times don't know what paint correction is and I hear him say stuff like cut and buff buff and cut something that they've heard from some kind of body shop what is a good word to explain to customers about paint correction cuz I don't like taking up a lot of time or typing long paragraph saying that wet sand and then buff and then polish you know I wanted a simpler way to explain to them when I was a kid I was here people say take it in to get a buff job done but I've been told that that's not good terminology either I'm not telling anyone anything I'm just asking you what I should call it
