Hello and welcome back thank you for watching this part 2. My hair is loose after I did the 2 step Henna and Indigo process. Henna provides the base for Indigo to attach and give a darker colour as opposed to just Henna which gives a brownish, reddish tone depending on your natural hair colour. I love Henna treatments they have helped a lot to strengthen my hair, the extra layer of coating minimizes split ends and I hardly get single strand knots since I started doing these. But the aftermath is dealing with my loose hair is a lot. I'm this video I show you a realistic detangling process that is gentle and non frustrating. Sometimes we get impatient with pur hair because of our expectations and doing too much in one single session. Hope that you enjoy the video.

Watch till the end to see how I overcome the obstacle of not being able to oil, condition or apply leave in after a henna mask. This is probably the only time I have this kind of a detangling battle. From hereon it's twists all the way😅😅

More than acceptable. Gorgeous Thanks for suggesting that detangling can be done in stages. I tax myself doing it all in one sitting just to get the same results as you, and still need to detangle again anyway when I remoisturize in the days and weeks that follow. 🤷🏿‍♀️

Exactly what I went through before this, because we watch others detangle in one session and run a comb through and see it gliding through, my hair has never done that unless I'm prepared to break a few ends so I stopped doing it.

I love how gentle and patient you are when handling your hair. That is one of the best lessons I have learned from following your hair journey. I try not to comb my hair now and be gentle when handling it. Thank you for sharing your experience and wisdom with us ❤

Yes, we have to be gentle because 4c hair looks strong but because of the curl pattern breaks easily, thanks for popping by 😘

Wow, that was some detangling session! It's a very different method than what I usually see, but it works for you and that is all that matters. I admire your patience and tenacity to get through it.👍 👏 😇 Was it the henna or rinsing your hair upside down that caused so much tangling? Although I have hip-length hair I would cut it off to a TWA before dealing with a detangling session like this.🤷‍♀️ 🤣 🤣

Yes quite a session and only because I washed my hair loose after the henna treatment. Normally my detangling sessions are less tedious because I always keep my hair in twists and even wash in twists. Thanks for popping by 😘

I use a henna product call NOORANI in black to color my hair. It works really well. I put a little bit of conditioner in my hair after so that it wont be too dry and thnen i rinse it out and add my oils to style. You can purchase this in an East Indian shop or international store. xoxo

Please be careful of colored Henna, pure Henna leaf powder does not come in different colors, it's green resembling the original leaf. When applied leaves a hint of red or brown from the Lawson dye. When the henna comes in color it has been chemically altered and that can be harmful to hair. Please checkout on the internet 🙏 Thank you for stopping by

Hi sis... At the 18 mins mark just before you said you are almost done I had just checked the time and thought...I wonder how long this took in real time. I love how gentle you are....even with the double speed I could see that you are not aiming for ultra detangled. That is my take away...there is no need to over detangle. PERIOD. Thanks for the raw version...it gives me a from start to finish experience. One question....how is it that you could do all that without putting anything in your hair or even spraying your hair with some sort of liquid in between? Is it partly because of that final rinse that had a bit of oil but probably sealed in the moisture? Or maybe you have low porosity hair that doesn't dry out quickly? Or you are in a very humid environment? Or maybe all of the above 🤣🤣🤣 That was more than one question....but I'm just amazed cos my hair would have dried out by the second twist.

Yes that addition of apple cider vinegar, glycerin and olive oil is very important because you can use a conditioner for detangling or like a creamy leave in, I hardly keep those anyway but with the henna and indigo especially it would wash off
@nothandondlovuraw7388
@nothandondlovuraw7388 2 года назад
And absolutely do not over detangle and not all at one go, but aim that the hair doesn't matt into dreads which can happen if I washed loose like this but twists maintain the initial detangled state well

@@nothandondlovuraw7388 I’m sorry but I don’t understand your reply. Did you add product after the treatment to help you detangle on dry hair? Thank you❤️
@nothandondlovuraw7388
@nothandondlovuraw7388 2 года назад
@@BA-vv1gy No I didn't use any product, I had added olive oil, some apple cider vinegar and glycerin to the final rinse water, during the detangling my hair stayed damp it wasn't dry only that it was very tangles due to handling loose

How often do you retwist. I had my twists for two week and they started locking. The take down process was scary. I prefer minibraids
@nothandondlovuraw7388
@nothandondlovuraw7388 2 года назад
I refresh my twists atleast weekly otherwise I also get tangles that are not easy to get through. I always wash and keep my hair in twists this time the tangling was due to Henna and Indigo treatment that I did which need my hair to be loose
@nothandondlovuraw7388
@nothandondlovuraw7388 2 года назад
I used to do braids and found that they made my ends to break as they tangle tighter than twists

Do you ever use combs?
@nothandondlovuraw7388
@nothandondlovuraw7388 2 года назад
No I stay away because my hair even after combing will tangle again so I find it's too much manipulation for something that doesn't last
