@@TopShotDustin explosives however are definitely used in the logging industry to fell hazardous trees that are too risky to be felled manually with a saw.
No you aren’t stop telling people you are ! People I know for a fact this man is a fraud I have known him sense we were 11 and he has always always !! Been a liar
Hey Dustin, how about crossing over a few states to take care of some cactuses /cacti (apparently both are correct according to Grammar Monster)?? I don't think they will give you as hard of a time as those trees did, lol They probably would make great video too.
I was trained in explosives back in the 1970s (Rangers), but I was NOT an EOD tech. If I remember correctly, it took 3 wraps of det cord for every inch of tree diameter. The point was not to blow up the tree, but to fell it, while trunk remained attached - for making tank traps. Largest shot we made was 2 cases (48-pounds, if I remember right?) of C4 in a shape charge placed into a secured vertical 36-inch ceramic water pipe. The resulting explosion was simply "AMAZING"!! The formula we used was: P = "Plenty"
I rarely get notified of your posts. Having said that im glad i checked your channel. This is an awesome video im jealous lol i wanna play with explosives too! (Obviously in a controlled way like this video.)
All you weirdos out there getting mad at people cutting trees. My grandfather owns a tree farm. He cuts the trees sells the lumber and then he re-plants the trees that he cut down. That’s how most people do it.
Those poor trees. I'm reporting this video for disgusting, harmful, violent content! Those trees just needed a hug, not 'sploded! 🤣 Just kiddin, I love seeing stuff go "boom" Awesome collab video 👍🏻
Dustin, please please get ahold of a Dead Air Primal and shoot it out with your Griffin Bushwhacker! There are videos on each can but no videos that show both. I'd love to hear both on the same host and hear what you think about each. Thanks!
To take out trees make a bell-shaped container with jet holes and a tubular Spike to go into the tap Root the top heavy tree should rip the rest of the roots to the surface
I'd like to see yall drill a few holes through a big ol tree trunk and thread a bunch of det cord through the holes and all around it, just to see if some internal damage would make the difference. Like, 1" diameter holes, so you can really pack some in there. Hell, ill send you guys the drill bits you would need to get through a 24" tree.
Great video! Can you make a pipey using gunpowder from .22, .25 or .27 cal nailgun blanks? Sounds like a great option especially when they are pretty cheap. You'll have to open the crimp by squeezing them with pliers but as soon as you got a hole you can just dump the powder.
Yes if you want to spend along time taking apart like 1500 small blanks for a nominal sized pipe bomb, sometime blank powder is often even faster burning then stuff off the shelf for reloading.
Used to live in a town called Lindsay here in Ontario and one street that I was looking at an apartment on was apparently rather well known for having people put pipe bombs in front of their drug dealers houses. Plus the apartment was pretty much falling apart so needless to say I didn't move into that one 😂
I still can't believe we have a real live Beavis. It's a glorious thing. Mike Judge did say that they were based on real people he grew up with. I doubt it's Sean though, because Sean and Mike are at least a decade in age difference. Maybe closer to 20 years.
Next time you play with det cord and a tree use about half as much cord and pack a few water bags around it. Think your results will be better but a pain in the ass to set up
need tape, a shoelace, vinegar, dry ice and nitrogen chloride avalible at your disposal. You can find these materials at your local hardware store. For the first step you need to take a suitable container for your explosive. For this tutorial, i am going to be using a plastic water bootle as an example. Place about 50 miligrams of nitrogen chloride in the bottle then insert your dry ice carefully. Mix your contents with about half a spoon of vinegar in the bottle. Close and shake your bottle careffuly and allow the dry ice to impact the cap. The point of impact will become where you attach your shoelace. Tape your shoelace onto the impact point. Upon usage, the flame will transmit kinetic energy to the dry ice mechanism.
Great video. So I guess I learned that the only way to have a chance to take down a tree with either a grenade or pipe bomb is to drill a hole into the tree and place the explosive inside of the hole
I could have told you it wouldn’t work. From Viet Nam Combat Engineer experience, with det cord. more doesn’t help. The blast was spread evenly all around the tree. Cutting with det cord works with 55 gallon drums because the inside is hollow. There needs to be somewhere for force to go. You spread it evenly around tree.
Hey Dustin, first of all DISCLAIMER: I am not a licensed professional, just an Army Trained Combat Engineer .. and I haven't "qualified" since 2009. But I do remember my training; which tells me that all that dirt you dug out to place the explosives? Ya need to put it back in the hole and tamp it down which contains the explosion making it bigger than if it were not tamped down. The it would have a better chance to up root the tree. Same on the Det Cord, after wrapping it around the tree, wrap that with sandbags and tie it supper tight with lots of rope which will redirect the explosion inwards into the tree. Explosions, like electricity, always take the easiest path. Just my thoughts, which is not a criticism just a suggestion. I love your channel and content, I remember you from Top Shot! Too bad that show isn't around anymore
@@TopShotDustin lmao I love that reply. I mean they ain't real big trees. You shoot big trees down. Let's drill a hole in one and delete that sucker with some explosives
@@TopShotDustin I got the chance to go and shoot the old .22 with my dad after neither of us spoke to one another in a few years and it was great. Guns can be great for many things that never harm anything. I wish people would realize it.
All the blast force is going outward from the tree in all directions.. The blast needs to be focused inward, possibly with a water ring as water does not compress and would help concentrate the blast if done correctly
