I have detected since 1973. I want to buy one last detector and have looked for over a year. I had a Minelab CTX 3030 for 3 years and hated it. I am down to this one or the Garrett GTI 2500 with the additional 2 coil deep seeker. Thanks for posting this video, it is helpful.
Ziggy, I've been contemplating a Detech Relic Striker for deep relics, coins and big gold in mineralized ground. Your videos are leaning me ever towards this machine. Another great video!
Thank you Justin. The market is flooded with machines.... All offering different abilities. The relic striker has to be one of if not the deepest I've used.... It's a machine that you will have to learn to get the best from. I still have a lot to learn with it and take on some of them broken deep signals to confirm its true capabilities but being I try lots of machines its getting the time to spend with a single machine I find hard. But I know for sure I enjoy using this machine... When it locks on to a signals it's clear as night and day. It's not a machine I would say takes a bashing in stubble but a nice steady swing speed will reward you. Whatever machine you choose I hope it suits your needs and brings you luck 👍
+ziggyjinx Thanks for the reply. I've been using a NOKTA Golden Sense with stock coil and a NOKTA Velox One with both the stock coil and the large flying saucer. I have gotten some really deep finds with it and the Golden Sense works well on the wet sands of Florida beaches but that Relic Striker seems to blow everything I've seen completely away.
+Justin Barfield I'm not sure how this machine would work on the beaches as I live well inland and hardly beach hunt. It has a great GB range but wet beaches I wouldn't know how it would handle.
great commentary once again ziggyjinx ,results were interesting ,i was expecting more punch with ultimate on coins . should have my detech ultimate arriving from bulgaria this week . then in the new year i will video a hunt with the minelab musky as a comparision of 20 years development on 5khz deepseekers.if i dont get past 10" i,ll be well pissed i,ve wasted money ,lol. .my main reason for investing in one was with the coil being much lighter i can move control box back to where all control boxes should be ,where i can get to the switches .with a twist of the disc knob and a flick of switches to all metal to check signal width i should have the big nails finally beat. thanks for sharing buddy ,loved the stuck coin ,the dog walker , and how nervous the sheep made you .all makes cracking entertainment .
Great stuff ziggyjinx.... Always enjoy your test runs on different machines.... Looks an excellent coil and a very interesting detector.... ATB & HH Ian
Cheers Ian...... Always appreciate you comments, is a good coil and looking forward to getting out on some other sites with it. Happy hunting on your next outing..👍
Cheers David.... Was just saying to someone before the Etrac is one of the machines I've not used yet, maybe in the new year I will try one. Yeah the ultimate coil changes the dynamics of the relic striker in many ways.... Brings it into more a general searcher but still packs a punch. Will be back out with the huge 18" coil on when this nasty weather clears and run that in manual.... Go a feeling it's going to do way better than it did in the first video once manual ground balanced... Just is a little heavy but think it will pay off. Cheers and happy hunting 👍
seam's a good smooth machine..... that ultimate has done many branded machine's very well, one of the best coil's released tbh. u got your hair dryer on, super wind =D
Sir, please. I want to buy a device but I'm tricked among these "CTX3030 devices. GPX5000 or .Relic Striker." Who is the best and deeper among them. Thank you
I've been out briefly but weather been to bad to film.... I'm looking forward to showing footage of the Creddo, it's a real nice machine but you have to set it up spot on... Don't take long and has some nice punch and sweet audio. Hopefully there will be a break in the weather this week coming and I can get some good footage with it. Thank you.
just got the detech for mxt great depth, concerned about wet conditions, skid plate removal shows a flat glass like bottom, waterproof? your thoughts appr...J.
Hi Ziggy! Im hoping you could tell me since you run a good test with the Vista Gold with the epic coil and now this machine from Detech with a similair large coil, Is the Detech that much better then the VG with Epic coil? Cheers Mate
+Star Effect Thank you Star Effect, I didn't reply to him as I'm not going to educate people that can't see reason or are deluded. This machine is capable than a lot more than I can show here in a few videos. It's designed to find bigger deeper items and not really to be used to find coin sized items as such. Before the ground freezes I will try and dig a deep blooming hole and place a nice sized item then compare a few machines to prove this machine has some great depth over others. Thank you.
You are welcome, i'm fan for this machine (detech in general), i've got my own Striker last month but for my bad luck the 18" coil was bracken, now after watching this , i'm thinking to buy a 13" ultimate, so what you think 13 or 18 ?
ziggyjinx You're right, do not answer me, you'll pass for a draw ! I know the detection well, I practice for twenty years and I practiced with a lot of machines. When you make a discovery at 1 m depth will speak again ...
