That's probably due to the lip-sync only being matched to the Japanese voice acting, and not the English voice acting. Even the Yakuza PS2 game had the lip-syncing not match the English voice acting. It wouldn't be that hard, considering the newest Yakuza entry had proper lip-sync for both language options.
The game does not intent to be a good game, it just exist to squeeze out the money of the parents Who buy this for their childs. 60€ absolutly not deserved
I will still never understand how it is basically the movies plot for the twists and this is being sold as a "new" game. I'm convinced this must have been held back for some reason and was meant to be with or around the time of the movie.
To be fair, all culprits/criminals in both games are technically worse people than Brad. Brad may have an obnoxious and haughty personality but at least he is shown to take police procedure and commitment to justice very seriously. But of course, Merloch is very much a “mad scientist”.
@@hedgehogpower194 i mean with d.p. it looks like he's still talking like a pikachu, but you hear a guys voice. or it could just be where he's got the japanese animation with english v.a.
Well, looks like we're not getting a Detective Pikachu 3 Game, and given the Live Action ended with Human Harry and Tim reuniting... we're not getting a 2nd Live Action either. So it seems this Arc, has concluded!
@user-lg8ps6ky6u don't forget about Heavy Rain and Telltale's The Walking Dead, those games also have the same gameplay mechanics, mostly focusing more on the story part and less gameplay.
@@cloecouvidat2470 That I had to pound with my fist repeatedly, softly of course, but still my fist. Then the final "fight," had to use an unopened Swiss army knife to mash, and even that was still a struggle. With the first game, I had no problems.
I *hope* that the build up of Emilia and Tim from the first game gets revisited in the *possible* third game. Disappointed that the new girl took her place, and she was a each chapter TV news cameo.
@@whitewolf3051 Would you or Eric be mad if I said that I'm honestly a little divided on that? Cause I liked Emilia, but I like the Mayor's daughter too. Plus I'm slightly leaning toward the second game girl because she's Tim's Classmate and she's the only one besides Sophia who knew practically EVERYTHING about Pikachu and Harry.
@@stephencochrane6805 While you *are* entitled to your opinion and our opinions are just that, opinions, the question becomes why build up Tim and Emilia in the first game, only to be replaced in the sequel? There's a *possibility* a second replacement might show up in a *possible* third game. I rather have as much consistency as possible in my games.
honestly, they could have made deoxis the final boss of the first game, i think ethernatos or a gen 9 evil legendairy (loyal trio or vessels of ruins) could have do it great too
saying that this game has 'Bosses' is pretty generous, considering that this game has no combat system and no engaging boss fights. i have even seen better QTE from point and click games like detroit: become human and telltale's twd...
Idk if I’m gonna get heat by saying this but I’m not a huge fan of these games, like yeah there fun interms of story, but I think the gameplay is pretty boring and honestly I think the movie was the best idea for this spinoff series.
I’m honestly glad I didn’t buy this game. It’s legit half the movies plot with low fame animations. They mouths didn’t fit the dialogue, animations looked slow and clunky, object moving for convient placement. Maybe it would be better if they made a better plot, intriguing scenarios, make the detective work actually interesting, and took more time to properly animate everything this game would have been better. This game just feels like DP1 but sprinkled movie plot on it.
Legend has it the real Mystery and reason why this game looks more than twice as bad as the worst 3DS ones is hidden in a small box labeled 'BDSP' and was stolen by Mewtwo.
No idea why they brought back this game in the first place.. the Deoxys part was such a letdown, especially because it’s my favorite Mythical/Legendary (no idea what it’s considered anymore)
On second thought, this is actually quite polarizing! Some like this game, yet some absolutely despise it! And yet those who don’t like it are people who only saw the movie…
Yea, they definitely wanted to take an anime-esque approach with the voice acting, however: 1. In the nicest way possible, the characters could've used a better casting and a few more retakes if need be. 2. The delivery they seem to have wanted doesn't translate all too well to the game's art style, in my opinion.
This game was so low effort it was funny. The lip syncing is so off, the animations look like vrchat, the voices were annoying, the models are ugly asf, and overall so boring to play. 😭 The game was way too overhyped..
Of course the lame gen 1 little shits win and deoxys loses. Was gonna say this game was good for including deoxys but they made this bulkshit ending. Of course we cant have anything bad happen to precious overrated mewtwo.
I like deoxys a lot more too but calm down lol it’s just a baby (trashy even because a lot of other kids games are way better) game if you wanna make something a lot more epic than this game go on Pokémon and beat a mewtwo with deoxys
