For people saying that Gil never caught him is only half true. Yeah the neighbourhood residents caught him, but only because of the countless hours of hard work and dedication that was put in by Carillo and Salerno to identify him from the evidence he left behind. Watch the netflix documentary and you'll realise how hard it was

Yeah but many times they could have caught him but didn’t. I’m not saying they didn’t do their work but SF detectives were the one that got the name of the night stalker. Watching the documentary on Netflix Gil gives me a sense that he thinks too highly of himself. He rubs me the wrong way. The community of East LA needs to be praised more.

Richie was an unusual serial killer as he didn't use the same method..weapons or strategies...he was all over the place..the only contant was that survivors said he had bad teeth and stank

@@aldorfc7287 Did he ever say why? Was it a hunch? facts? I've seen interviews but he never goes into details on the why.. he's never specific... .. he thought it was 1 guy but I wish he would offer more insight.I.E. this is why I believe it was 1 guy........ verses not...... i know he's old school but it drives me crazy. lol

Did he talk about his wife and the "dear john," letter? He said he was going to get even with her for dumping him.. he was going out with her only to dump her... then "he had her eating out of the palm of his hand." ..I think he told that story 10 K times. Sounds like it was the other way around...@@ he's so old school

I would have asked Gil if the Night Stalker case had instigated better communication between districts once the case closed. Or at least some effort to work together in cases that cover many districts. Second, did the detectives who doubted Gil broaden their understanding of what actions serial killers may or may not take.

They wouldn’t of caught him if it wasn’t for Gil. Gil was the one who helped bring down the night stalker. The citizens were just the ones that beat him up, they didn’t know he was the night stalker until after the cops got there. They just thought he was trying to steal a car. Gil did more then the citizens. He earned and deserves the credit. He would of been arrested even if the citizens did nothing.

@barbiem9537

Gill is NOT bullying and defaming Enrico Camarena cause this is NOT about Enrico Camarena this is about Richard Ramirez. Enrico Camarena was NOT a political prisoner he was NOT the one they arrested. Also Enrico was NOT ever defamed publicly as Richard Ramirez. Richard and Enrico were two different men and Enrico died on February 9, 1985 so Richard Ramirez can't be Enrico Camarena.

On many occasion Gil says that Ramirez asked him, "Why did he do those things?" so obviously, Ramirez didn't understand why he killed people.... and Gils response to Ramirez was.. I don't know, it's above my pay grade.. I'm not a dr..... Many people would like to know what makes a serial killer tick, hence the interest on this page.. I wish Gil would have elaborated more.. I'm sure many dr's have studied and interviewed tested Ramirez.. were the findings ever shared? You would think Gil would have some interest since he was connected to the case... even tho it was outside his pay scale.. that question was never answered.
@AnubisKD
@AnubisKD 2 месяца назад
yes, Ramirez's psychiatric reports are public, on the Plainsite website. He had 11 psychiatrists, and they all said he was brain-damaged and cognitively impaired. Not a psychopath. I don't really believe that Richard asked Carrillo why he was like that when he never asked any of his 11 psychiatrists any such question and had ample opportunity to do so.
@cocolu815
@cocolu815 2 месяца назад
@@AnubisKD Well Carrillo did say on a few occasions that ramirez did ask him why he did those things.. so I have no reason to doubt that... it could be because of the culture ramirez felt comfortable with Carillo and not so much like a science project.. so who knows.
