Do you know how to determine the origin of ventricular ectopic beats? In this second episode of Ask Andrew, you’ll learn how to tell if the ectopic originates in the apex or the base of the heart as well as if it’s coming from the right or the left side of the heart.

Just wondering, is it possible to experience atrial couplets and short runs (3-4 beats) of atrial tachycardia? From what I read online, the answer seems to be no but why exactly is this?

My Cardiologist has said mine is coming from near the AV node? He tried to ablate it but couldn't get to it - too risky. I get alot of skips, rather frequent and just don't know what to do next 😟

Could this be caused by Lyme? I have supraventricular extrasystoles with aberrant ventricular conduction, sometimes the case is ridiculously upset and that is scary, according to the doctor this is benign. I have late lyme, but that was treated last year, I don't think it's gone yet.

sometimes the ectopic is an upright R complex throught the chest leads (RBBB in V1, LBBB? in V6!) Can this be delineated?

Mine is in aVF and it's every few seconds for 15 days now, constant. Making me short of breath, dizzy, tired, and now I'm experiencing coughing regularly and feeling way more breathless and exhausted. Gets worse with talking and walking anywhere. What's my prognosis?

I'm no cardiologist, but I've suffered with these for years. Your prognosis depends on wether you have a structurally normal heart.

With respect, many people watching these vids are those who may have the condition, aren't medically literate, and just want basic info minus the gibberish. We just want to know our prognosis, how to reduce symptoms or if it can be successfully treated.
