This is way easier than what my professor taught. Thank you so much. And also this DFA only deals with strings ending with 100. What do we have to do if we want a DFA to recognize 100 substring in a string(not necessarily at the ending)

I'd recommend drawing the diagram before the table as it is easier to fill it after you visualize what inputs lead to what states.
