Jokes aside, I just wanna comment how Markus’s brush strokes change from when he painted an existing subject to when he painted from his own conscious. When he painted a copy of something, you can see the way he moves his arms side to side as if he were a printer, reminding you that he’s an android and he can make a “perfect copy of reality”. But when Carl tells him to paint from his mind, you can see how fluid the brush strokes are. You can feel the emotion and thought put into the piece, and even tho he hasn’t turned Deviant yet, you can still feel the humanity within Markus during that. It’s just so remarkable, which is why I love DBH for the way it is, details like this make me impressed to be honest.

I would actually pay money for some of those paintings.

The whole scene was to show how special Markus was by showing his creativity. In reality, creative AI like that has already been developed for quite a while (for example, AARON, created in the 70s). Not bashing Quantic Dream or anything, but I do wish they use actual machine generated paintings in this very scene, especially the one that can paint according to context.

One thing i love so much about Carel is that he allowed Markus to feel and express his emotions. He wanted him to be able to express himself. To step out of his programing and just feel emotions and not be afraid to show it. And i honestly love that so much. (Id do the same actually i say it all the time of there ever is a time we get androids and i some how manage to find/get one im letting it feel emotions and im letting it live in peace i dont need something or someone to do anything for me. Nope its gonna be living its own life just sharing a roof with me and my dogs thats it lol))

I love this part of this game because carl house is a very great place we can play chess, play piano, look of the books of carl, and paint in this studio and all moments of carl and markus, are very great. Even if their blood (Carl has red human blood & Markus has Thirium 310) isn't the same and their kinship isn't the same, Carl loves Markus just as much as Leo does.
