The music buildup and overall tension buildup make this scene one of the best cinematic moments in video game history.

I missed one button and I was about to go into full anxiety attack.

You played this chapter in the most epic and cinematographic way as possible, like, a real film. Fucking tears, really.

I had to come back as this scene got me. It’s like I have been through something similar, or just the idea of thinking that there are children with problems like this.

I cried really hard playing this part because I kept fucking up, after escaping Todd I really felt relieved but was still overwhelmed

I cried playing this. Hits close to home. If I ever have children I want them to grow up feeling safe, happy and appreciated. There were times in my childhood when I wished I could've just ran away and never looked back, but I wasn't brave enough. Playing this felt like a time-travel and making up to my child-self what I should've done.

The music at 7:36 just makes me so emotional. In my opinion, Last of us has the best soundtrack and this one definitely goes on my 2nd fave. Hell it might be even first. The music build up is sooo good! 100/10 this game

The song is called "Dark Night". In the end of the song they put Kara's theme (violin on 7:36) , and if you want to listen to the full violin, just go listen to Kara's theme (one of the best themes, in my opinion).

The moment when they climbed the fence was incredibly emotional thanks to the fantastic music! It felt like they've made a life-changing decision which was both very brave and dangerous, but undoubtedly right at the same time.

I'll never forget how stressful this scene was. I had to drop the controller afterwards and regain my bearings, reminding myself its just a game lol.

This playthrough is the most great and continuous out there. It still build tension and climax to the music. Unlike other playthrough that rushed it. Good job.

When a machine values life more than that which created it, it is no longer a machine. Kara ended her machine existence and became sentient. Her commitment to save Alice despite all odds and costs and even eventually raise her as her own, upholds our most sacred laws and beliefs. What then do we do? When a greater society rises, and eventually overtakes it's creators ? We either learn from the example set by the androids, or die in their disgust of us. Kara, Luther, Connor and Marcus showed us androids are willing to work with us, even be our friends and fellow beings. But the violence done to them while forgiven, can never truly be forgotten. I personally wanted Kara to kill Alice's "father" for the shitbag he is and the cruelty he did to Alice. It should be the fate of all child abusers to be looked upon as the disgusting beings they are. Mental illness, drug and alcohol abuse, and an abusive past are NO excuse for treating an innocent child to any form of mental, physical, sexual, or verbal abuse PERIOD. Abusers deserve NOTHING!!! That's what this scene evokes, because many of us who have survived this would have begged for a Kara to just look at them and say STOP.

This chapter of this game is so amazing. So many different things can happen in this 6-8 minutes of gameplay it's insane.. and every path is just as intense as the next. Soundtrack could not be better. Everything goes from 0-100 so fast it catches you off guard even on your third or fourth time. Cant even believe how well this game...specifically this part is put together. Love it every time.

The best part of the music and the scene starts at 7:03, and finishes at the end.. this is really, so much chills.. remains the best scene in the game

notice how Alice looks like the child Conner saved from the roof with a gun pointed at her head? Notice how that child looks a lot like Alice & her mom is a single mom, the child even sounds like Alice! It's possible the child on the roof was Todd's real Daughter. SPOILERS Alice is actually an Android Todd bought. Todd had another daughter with red blood, not blue. It's possible the mother of the child in the hostage situation was Todd's ex-wife who hired an android to help out with the work & child rearing.

I cried so hard watching this scene multiple times, the music is so good. I can't think of any other piece that has made me feel so much anxiety and so much emotion, I get red and shaky with tears to this day.

This chapter is amazing. It tells us what Is going on in this world. Everything that is in this chapter is perfect.. the soundtrack.. emotions. Everything going on is perfect! Shoot. Even the person playing this game is pressing everything right and not making a single mistake. You gotta love this

I know that people try and get 100% completion so they just do that anyway, but I wonder how many did it for real on their first attempt?

Her breaking through the wall was one of the most badass representations of "becoming human." Awesome stuff.

When I first played I went straight up stairs, locked the door and straight out of the window.

I got the ending where you shot the father

i'd argue Kara is as human as any of us, only better. she broke free of her protocols, she became truly human and became her own person, but yet she is interchangable, and top smart

When I played this section I locked the door but then I talked to Alice instead of immediately escaping. Todd came in so I had to fight him. I didn’t kill him tho cuz I didn’t have the gun.

Man my play through was a rollercoaster of emotions. Try to calm him down, thrown across the room, confront him without a gun, he practically breaks my face in, I miss one button to open the front door, climb the fence, hop the bus... Now I'm breathing heavily and sobbing cause thank God, it's over. *Spoiler* Had another play through where I had gun( utterly failing at qte) and Alice shot him. I was so shocked!!

I never felt such a mom instinct when I saw what he was doing to Alice just to take her and run just keep running and protect her I had goosebumps this scene is absolutely amazingly well done I actually felt like it was so real, beautiful game

I first hide with alice in bathroom then quickly open the door and went to bus. It was whole lot of quick decision

This is exactly how my run went too 😭😭😭 except i missed a couple of the cues so kara had a bruise on her left eye where you could see her robot parts underneath and blue blood coming out

I don't care how angry or upset you are at the world but no kid should live and grow up like this and there is no excusing Tod's behaviour what so ever
