The gradual shift from being emotionless and detached to showing vulnerability is what makes his character arc so inspiring, unforgettable, and beloved. That's why I admire Connor so much. He can be calculating, astute, and badass when he needs to be. At the same time, Connor has shown the capacity to be caring and humorous. These opposing characteristics certainly negate one another during the gameplay, but it synthesizes into one unique protagonist coming to terms with who he is. Sorry about the spiel!!! This is precisely why we need a spin-off game with Connor and Hank doing more investigations together!
