People want cheap houses and have no standards in America, so they buy those paper homes. You get crap work because you put up with crap work, not because of unions.

There's buildings in Europe 1000+ year's old still, here in Michigan it's a miracle this place is still standing

2024. I'm sure you're now enjoying the series "Bargain Block." I love those two guys (and their work crew). Seeing people get fired up about restoring neglected houses is like giving a new career to a faded movie star, restoring her beauty and reviving our spirits.

I'm a Detroit native and saw the outsides of many of these spectacular mansions but seldom the interiors. After the wanton destruction of its many architectural beauties during the modernization era, I'm glad to see that all was not lost. Thank you, William, for your eyes alert to beauty that men of imagination, skill, and labor created in the Age of Craftsmanship. I'm confident you're moving through life with great awareness. Detroit was a very beautiful city; I have photos of my grandparents taken there in the 1920s and it was immaculate and unrecognizable, everything so elegant. Then Jamal and Latitia moved in and do what they do in every city, every country...

Right you are. I've been to Europe many times there's so much history, buildings 10× older than this, churches etc that are still standing. Look at Notre Dame, from the 13th century, that fire two years ago in a modern church in America would of burned completely to the ground, the church has a lot still in good condition and being restored

Surprisingly the downtown area is very safe. Cameras equipped with facial recognition are everywhere. I suggest paid parking lots as it is extremely busy today as opposed to 10 years sgo when it was a ghost town. Thats when I lived there. Also youll see many officers as well. :)

Contrary to popular belief...there’s a great deal of beautiful homes and communities in the city.

I believe they did maintain the originals. The man was a detail efficient individual. I think this was on "America's Castles".

Take a look at your own cities' early photos. It was common place to have these gorgeous red brick or elaborate concrete facing homes and buildings. Look at major cities like Boston and New York with the magnificent brownstones with gargoyles and carvings. Then remember a lot of these were built during a time of horse and buggy. Buildings we cannot replicate nor even remember the formula for the concrete. Narratives are funny things when you end up with more questions than answers.

We are always taught that society is ever moving forward and "evolving"; progressing in technology and civilizations now are brighter and more advanced when it is simply NOT true. We are shown only the pyramids and a few other unexplainable buildings in school. Not the ones in every city and in every nation. We are shown "world fairs" popping up at the turn of the century with elaborate cities of buildings that were "destroyed" soon after. We have major cities burning at the same time mysteriously at the turn of the century. Destroying any evidence of these majestic cities. Look at San Francisco early photos with buildings on every square foot at only 20 years after its founding, as per the narrative. We are taught that USA was a wilderness of indigenous native Americans living in teepee when it was "discovered". When we see with our own eyes buildings that bespeak contrarily. Huge pillars of ancient buildings were recently discovered under a "golf course" on the coast of California and they TORE IT DOWN. Possibly a huge archeological discovery just ruined. There is so much that is before our very eyes in our very own cities that if you even scratched the surface of its history yourself you'd discover that it doesn't add up. How many red bricks in some of the mill buildings in the New England mill towns did it require? Research where the only brick factories were located and it doesn't add up. Again narrative is horse and buggy. You end up with far more questions than answers.
