I heard one last fall during leaf cleanup, the town has some kinda early 80s international with a big box on the back for leaf pickup. I couldn't believe my ears at first.
Nothing sweeter than the sound of those 2-stroke Detroit Diesel engines! Thanks so very much for sharing that with us!! The first Diesel engine I worked on as a young mechanic was a Detroit Diesel 8V-71 in a old International Transtar! The first thing that we did to it was put straight pipes on! Great memories!!,
Wow, Brockways and Peterbilts, as well as ending it with that cool little Brockway service truck. If I could have ordered a video, this would have been it. Happy Holidays and keep sharing your passion
My Grandparents lived across the street from the Wonder Bread plant/bakery in Pawtucket RI and when I visited I would fall asleep at night listening to the truck coming and going. Best sounding trucks ever! I'll never forget it.😊
Wow, best video i have watched a long time, never owned a 2 stroke Detroit but driven several of them in Terex loading shovels back in the 80s, those trucks are rare in my country but on my bucket list to own, I have Cummins in my 55 Chevy 5100 and 76 Ford F350. Love from England bro.
My 528cc wankel rotary makes way more HP per lbs!can any of these detroit 2 stroke power a plane? Im sure a 12v71 can run in any tilted position running klotz techiniplate with oil injection!
@bws1971 Upon further examination, I noticed it's two GMC Astro cabs grafted together, and then to "top it off (pun intended)" the roof is that of a Kenworth K100 Aerodyne.
