After watching the videos of Vaki he came across as a mid-range pass catching threat. Plus they say he's great on special teams - he probably beats Reynolds out of the third back position. The Lions front office really hyped him up and traded up for him so he's going to be #3 back. As far as Williams goes - he has been running his mouth a lot. Goff never gets the respect he deserves. He'll just keep on showing how wrong they are.

as a bears fan living in between chicago and detroit, i can confirm that there's no lions fan i talk to daily that is this high on the lions after one good season. and coach campbell said it best, the north isnt getting easier after last season. i believe every team is going to have a rough go in the divisional games because no team in the north is objectively bad.

Considering Sam just had a historic season at the TE position how could you possibly say Hockenson? Sam is a tier one TE in the mold of Kelce, Gronk, Kittle, Gonzales. Hock is a tier 2 TE. He’s good at most things but not great at anything. You could easily make the argument that Sam is the #1 TE in football right now.

I’m all for taking the best player but Craig Reynolds plays his heart out we can’t forget he had the block of the year giving St. Brown that touchdown

I wouldn't worry about what bears fans say. I actually take it as a compliment because Bears fans like to seek out and talk trash to team they know is at the top... They did the same thing to the Packers last year and even tried to get Tom Grossi riled up, and then what happened? They just like to say their team is better when they haven't even played a snap yet (= drunken dillusion). Lions fans didn't do that last year or before, the team PROVED it to us (and the rest of the league) before we allowed ourselves to speak. Bears need to prove to their fans before they can say anything... but we know that won't happen. Good luck to the rest of the division now that the Lions cleaned up a major weakness (and added depth and competition to it) and now that all of our young athletes have playoff experience.

Love isn't a BETTER QB than Goff at the moment, he has more physical talent. EVERYONE conflates the argument. Goff is an amazing leader, is elite pre-snap, and has enough arm talent to make you pay. Love may be a prodigy, we'll have to wait and see. *Goff CAN make plays out of structure, it's just Love is already better at it. So is Caleb. Still taking Goff as the QB1 in the North this year.
