Lions handled the pressure of winning the NFC North, the next gorilla to get off their back is to win a playoff game. I like the way the defense has been playing lately, even with lapses in the secondary. At least they are getting more sacks and turnovers, plus limiting the points of the other team. Maybe the games against the Vikings and Cowboys will be good prep for the Lions secondary vs. the Rams. I hope the lions win this game as much for Jared Goff as they do for themselves and the Lions fans.
Exactly. They are bending, but not breaking. Giving up yards to receivers but not letting them in the endzone. Take away that fluke 92 yarder to Lamb, the Lions have done it 3 straight weeks.
The Rams are coming into the wrong house at the wrong time. I suspect the Lions have something up their sleeve (cough "the problem")... Houston and Hutch coming for you Stafford... And Ford Field gonna make your mind melt 😊
If you look at who the Rams defeated in the last 8 games, i'm not as impressed as the media is. I think the Lions will pull it out but there will be some scares..
We should win this game if we play the cards right. We're a better offense and defense. Utilize all players at cost. Stop the run and blitz Stafford and don't give him time to throw.
This game is going to go the way lions want it to go…. I believe we put on a full display on offense from our receiving core to our backs. The X factor we have will be Jamo …. If they actually get home involve early … I mean getting him going deep that’s going to back their secondary up which opens the run game..
I totally agree with you Jay. 31 pts. is the threshold. We've only given up more than 30 pts. once this season and that was overtime. Said all season our D line is our season.
At first i was trying to honest and unbiased as a lion fan but was back and forth on postive and negative outcomes. At the end of the day and most recent tho im thinkin we put up 30 on the rams and they cant keep up with that. Lions win 30-24. 1 Pride
Key to the game …. The offence can’t have three and outs … we need to own time of possession and zero turnovers …. We do that we are on to the next round
Bro, those tiles are sweet! I'd love goff to have an amazing game after the way he was discarded (which would have ended most qbs careers). But most importantly this is the lions story. Division champions and a great chance to win this game
😂 I gotchu. Don’t get me wrong - the Rams are HOT right now. That’s what scares me the most I’m this situation, but I believe the lions are the better team as a whole. Should be wild
Just WIN!!! ... in any way, and any how. ... but a 500yd, 5 td rushing game for the Lions Offense would be a great story to ofset the media focus. Stafford had the worst production from a backfield, than any long time starting qb for one team than almost any in the NFL.... and clearly why he never won a nfc north division title.
This game scares me. So much! Not cuz I don’t think we can beat them, I know we can beat them! Maybe it’s cuz I want this game so bad. I don’t think I’ve wanted a win so much in my 25+ years of fandom. lol being in Los Angeles, and the grip of rams fans I encounter daily. Especially the ones that been talking shit all week at work
3 yrs ago while driving for a go-ahead, TD W/4:56 to go in the 4th, Goff is intercepted by Jalen Ramsey @ the goal line on a great play. That Lions team was 0-6-1. That is the Goff LA fans remember. But he didn't have these weapons. Lions will lose a .lot of folks $$ who bet against them. 😊
If they lose, there will be blaming, crying, whining, wailing, and gnashing of teeth along with a few psychotic breakdowns. Of course they will be calls to fire Aaron Glen and to run Jared out of town as scapegoats . Some will pick up a criminal case. Some will end up in the Emergency Room.
@@varamaur9567 I think Calvin Johnson and Golden Tate are far, far, *_far_* better than St.Brown and Josh Reynolds, and Bush/Bell produced 2,500 yards from scrimmage in 2014 which is about what Monty/Gibbs have done in 2023. Then of course, Stafford in 2014 had the benefit of playing with the #2 defense in the league covering for his mistakes, and Goff in 2024 has a below average defense.
@@MarkLeBay - Well illustrated. But the Lions had nothing at tight then like they have in LaPorta now - and as much as some Lions fans are trying to downplay LaPorta’s importance because he’s iffy for Sunday, many of those fans were earlier saying what a game-changer for the Lions he is. Anyway, I think LaPorta’s special and certainly a differentiator in the comparison.
@@varamaur9567 Brandon Pettigrew was a great TE for Stafford - when healthy. LaPorta is great; in just his first year he’s as good a TE as TJ Hockenson. But the thing we’ve come to learn about Goff is that unlike other QBs who ad hoc a lot, Goff doesn’t need great skill players to throw to - he just needs reliable players who will read defenses correctly and not miss their assignments. When the Lions traded TJ Hockenson in October 2022, we thought it would significantly hurt Goff’s production - it didn’t. Goff found other targets. He replaced Hockenson’s production with second and third tier TE’s James Mitchell, Shane Zylstra, and don’t forget Brock Wright: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IwgwBJ8NYt8.htmlsi=5H7qvP_jSMIo-kfH
@@varamaur9567 LaPorta is off to a HoF career playing as well as TJ Hockendon in just his first season. He’s a huge loss, and I just learned that our #2 TE James Mitchell just got injured and is ruled out of the game - now I’m worried.
