Detroit Lions Roster Preview: Levi Onwuzurike Ready to Shine? 

I remember last year this time everyone was writing off Barnes and iffy as practically guaranteed cuts. I defended both especially Barnes. His talent was obvious and the growth he had from playing with anzalone was obvious to me to end 2022. And with iffy he actually had good moments as a rookie at the corner position. And now hes switched positions. You can't give up on 6'3" safety with those cover skills and experience as a corner without ever really seeing what he can do. Levi was projected to be a first round pick. He's dealt with and rrcovered from an injury that a lot of people thought was career ending. If you give up on Levi it'd be like giving up on James Houston. There's so much there that we know is there.

Great video and points made Meko. We can hope he has an Iffy like trajectory. He's definitely trending upwards. He had his best game vs. Minnesota week 17, 1 assisted tackle vs. SF and a decent pff grade overall given his situation last year. There's going to be a tough cut between probably him, Commish, and Houston. If he has a good training camp, I can see him making the roster and provided he stays healthy 2024 could be a really nice year for him. His raw strength + going up to 300 lbs and explosiveness can trouble O-lines like SF's which rely on finesse and timing.

That would be a great story... that he would more than fullfill expectations.

I think this is the last we'll see of him. Hopefully I'm wrong. He has talent. But sometimes guys just can't get off the injury report. In some milk it for everything it's worth. It happens. Not saying, that's what he's doing. Just staying a fact. Truly hope he can step up and contribute.
