@@SnowboardJedi I was watching that live when it happened; the announcers (Joe Buck in particular) stated that #68 (the called ineligible receiver on the play) was over there but may not have checked in. Just because he walked over we can't say he checked in. On the other hand, I'm not going to rule out that he did and it got called anyway. Not to mention how loud of an environment it is. Home field advantage is what it is because it makes it incredibly difficult to hear, not just for the players but for the refs as well. That being said, if this result happened in Detroit where the stadium would be much quieter, then I would be 100% calling rigging... but I can't rule it out even here. #70 declared on that same play, just not #68...

Yet if they had taken the 3 points earlier in the game then they would have won.

@@quasistellar3594 number 70 ran up along with 58 and 68. They tried to confuse the defense, and confused the ref. The ref announced it to the entire stadium, the lions didn't correct and after the penalty went for it two more times instead of just kicking the field goal.

Lions are dangerous for sure. Whoever they play in the playoffs shouldn't take them lightly because they can score points in a variety of ways. Quick strike, methodically, or a mix of both. Plus they can rush the passer on defense & take the ball away, which is always a huge boon in postseason games.

No it definitely made sense to go for the win. You go to overtime and the momentum dies/shifts along with the cowboys being at home and our secondary not being able to cover lamb.

The other flags were based on thinking Skipper reported... which he didn't... which means NO FOULS. Easy peasy... unless you're a ref paid to help the Cowboys win at home. Your confusion or purposeful ignorance doesn't change the facts. They even had a pregame conference with the refs about that exact play so the refs wouldn't be confused... and yet... they still were. You're just wrong, and so were the refs.
