Detroit Public Schools Community District Superintendent Nikolai Vitti says marijuana use among students has skyrocketed since the legalization of the drug in 2018 and is calling on state leaders to intervene.
Simple. Hold the parents accountable. If you found cocaine in their backpack you wouldn't be taking pictures. Funny how with weed you make a big deal, but with the opioid kids overdosing left and right you stay silent
Now what did people think was going to happen? Our cities don’t give a shyte about drug/pot use in the public…it’s all about money. We live in the burbs and we are literally surrounded by pot places. It’s ridiculous. Doesn’t matter where you go whether you’re driving or walking all you smell everywhere is pot!!! You can’t take your family anywhere anymore…all festivals, carnivals or fairs stink to high heaven of POT!!! Biggest mistake michigan made was to follow places like Colorado and legalize marijuana …. Just plain stupid!!
Not really I’d rather smell it any day than the rancid smell of cigarette smoke. I’d rather have ppl smoking weed any day than a few other decriminalized drugs in “Colorado”
@@ErikaAdvocate why should anyone have to go out to an event and smell your stinking pot? Smells like a skunk which everyone knows stinks to high heavens…and you’re not supposed to smoke it while driving yet way too many ppl do. Also, you’re not supposed to be smoking/eating or anything else when in school….I forgot, it’s all about you pot heads isn’t it!
@@TheAS687 the point is, community entities have made it “ok” for kids to be eating it and smoking it….think it’s good that kids are in school high and not learning a damn thing? Our society has become one of “anything goes” and it isn’t going to end well. Think our competitors like the Chinese are running around high all day? It’s no wonder they are no. 1 in the world and not us. Stupid is as stupid does as Forrest Gump would say.
@@newtrollaccount384 I agree but someone needs to hold the adults who give them the edibles accountable you can’t just walk in a dispensary and buy anything like a liquor store it’s tight security usually so ethier they steal it from someone at home or someone gave it to them I think a better solution would be laws that focus on the containment of weed almost like how we have a gun issue with all of these kids shooting themselves and there solution was giving out gun locks and harsher punishment for people who leave stuff and makes it accessible like that around kids.
@@BrownTrout1238 I grew up on the Texas border, kid. Cannabis does not cause crime. Other drugs do. Those drugs aren’t safe. People commit crime to get more of those drugs. What crimes do stoners commit? Besides the crime of destroying a refrigerator. My point is, weed and those who smoke it are harmless. That is all. 🍻
