Raymond played better in his first season than Zadina did in 5 years

They'll both get 6-8 years at $6-8m per year. Happy if they also sign Berggren. I'm a fan

I feel really good about the long-term negotiations. I just wish it would get done already... Just getting impatient.

My only thought is, whomever gets signed first between Raymond & Seider, will get the better deal. First to sign, gets the better deal.

I would argue that not signing Raymond and Seider prior to free agency didn't necessarily hurt them at all. While some of us (myself included) hoped a guy like Stamkos would land here, I think Stevie's plan has always been to lock up Raymond and Seider to long term deals, and that would command more salary than a bridge deal.

Couldn’t they use the Seth Jarvis contract as a direct comparable for Raymond?

They are not getting paid more than Larkin! So that means no more than 5 years at thirty to thirty seven.
