Detroit Red Wings goalie Alex Lyon was back in his old locker stall at the IceDen in Coral Springs on Tuesday.
Lyon, who spent last season with the Panthers, will make the start for the Red Wings when they visit Florida on Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2024, at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise.
Detroit has won its past two games and five of six; the Wings currently hold the top wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference.
The Panthers have lost two straight following a nine-game winning streak.
In Monday’s 5-4 overtime loss to Anaheim, Florida had a pair of two-goal leads as Sam Bennett scored twice while Sam Reinhart and Carter Verhaeghe also scored.
Anthony Stolarz took the loss.
