All of the music files in the games have tracks for such possibilities. It's set up like: Ambient, Death, Alternate (may or may not exist for some areas), Combat, Conversation, Outro (also may or may not exist for some areas). I remember poking around in the tracks with ModPlug Tracker.
@@BusinessZeus Nope. Unfortunately there is no annoyance mechanic in Deus Ex, so you can never trigger a trooper by throwing basketballs. You *can* trigger them with heavier stuff like chairs and such
If he gets away, Manderley's gonna have our ass. I always found it funny that troops in the Naval base also reused that line as they share a voice pack with the UNATCO soldiers.
Definitely one of the best tracks. Shame most players will probably never actually hear it unless they decide to shoot up UNATCO HQ for a quick gag. Maybe an NSF raid or something tbh, anything to give this song a chance to truly shine.
@@Cyann33andaThird I stumbled upon the games ost before I actually checked out and got the game itself. This and hongkong helipad combat theme could very well be the only reason Ive played the game and enjoyed it so much.
Turn in mission, get new one. Position self to exit. Turn 180 degrees. Casually pull out and aim GEP gun. Fire down the prison hall. Kill Leo Gold. Enrage UNATCO guards, irritate the hell out of Walton Simons. Run like hell, trying not to giggle inanely, and hop on ride to get to the city. UNATCO: 0, Walton Simons' fury: priceless.
On one of my earliest playthroughs I was curious what was behind a closet door but couldn't figure out how to open it. I decided to blow it up with a LAM. Wasn't sure if I'd get in trouble. Didn't realize, it's not the type of game where the NPCs just ignore that.
@@Ragitsu Not only, he did music for shows like Big Brother and iirc also Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? He remixed Giorgio Moroder's Chase too and one of his tracks, Addicted to Speed is in Driver: Parallel Lines. Definitely one of my favorite producers ;)
Spanish language has a saying: "La curiosidad mató al gato" ("Curiosity killed the cat", literally translated). I don't know if there is there any English language equivalent, but my curiosity at reading people's e-mails at UNATCO....
can't listen enough this awesome action theme for the year, i even replaced the enemy within action themes with this in the game files just to hear this when fighting with the UNATCO troops
If you aggro shannon in the bathroom and hide underneath the sink, the troops will accidentally shoot her and everyone will aggro onto her....really interesting seeing the plasma rifle flying around
I can just imagine someone doing a 10 hour challenge of listening to this, and by the 7th hour they're bobbing their head side to side just waiting for it to all be over.
I used to work at a gay club where the strippers would dance while the sounds of guns cocking played. Made me feel like I was in a special forces barracks; a sleepover gone South, if you will.
