The next Deus Ex should be HEAVY on illuminati related scenes and interactions and needs to bridge it to the original Deus Ex, ending Adam Jensen's story and setting up JC Denton.
Actually the next game will be about the fall of the illuminati since Page starts his move with MJ12 taking over almost entire Europe and basically take everything from the Illuminati (They will be simply powerless against Page)
True. But I heard DE is currently on low priority list... Probably the sales weren't to management's liking... Which is really shit, because I still want Bob and JC to be voiced by their respective original actors... And you never know what might happen.
@@scattysafari7742 JC is alright but Adam is way cooler. The fact that the next game will be a direct sequel to MD is very exciting and i’m glad it’s under development
Not strictly. TF29 is an Illuminati front anyway - and also, NSN records are supposed to be purged after every conversation. If my memory is working, there is an email on the NSN computer terminal just before you plant the whisper chip where one of the techs highlights a 'problem' with the system in that existing conversations not being purged from the system when they finish like they are supposed to be. Its naturally this 'problem' that allows Adam and Vega to dig into what was being discussed. In an 'ideal' world, they wouldn't have been able to find anything even with access to the NSN because the records were supposed to have been wiped when the call ended.
Holy crap, Cliff Stephens is in fine form here. So glad they got him to reprise his role. And with modern graphics, Bob's expressions match his menacing voice. ...Damn, now I kind of want a remake of OG Deus Ex (though my computer probably wouldn't be able to run it).
If you hack his secretary's computer in the first game at Liberty Island you'll find that he was involved hunting down the Knights Templar. Remember the gold that we later find from the Knights Templars in the cathedral? He was always working with the Illuminati.
I think Adam Jensen is the real father to Alex and JC, father as in following in the footsteps of Metal Gear Solid with the whole using genetics to create clones, son of a bitch I love this shit
As neat as it was seeing Manderley and Bob Page again, the first game made it clear that Manderley was some patsy Walton Simons was using, I don't think he was ever important enough to work directly under Bob Page.
Patsy or not, it's perfectly conceivable that Manderley was Page's middle man with the council. He was still Page's underling, doing exactly what he was told without question, hence his apprehension at questioning Page's authority. Simons, in contrast, was Page's equal and not somebody who could ever be intimidated by anyone.
I love how they just skip through entire meetings of the illuminati just to see Bob page yell at a guy instead of seeing what debeers and everyone else is talking about.
That virtual space was the one TF29 uses, not Illuminati. The only reason why we saw Page in this is because Manderly called him from it. The rest of the people in the room are just TF29 heads, like Miller, from other countries most likely.
Bob page is the hero. Tbh I really wish the studio stayed true to the classic story. I love Adam, but I wish there were more Easter eggs with scientists, tongs, manderley, the council. The few cut scenes don't do justice. And who TF is janus
We got a problem. Miller wants to see a report on the break in. What break in? The one your San Francisco facility is supposed to have any day now WHAT? that shit got me giggling
The channel "Gaming Ambience" has it! It's the one titled "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided - TF29: NSN Conference Room (1 Hour of Music)". Apparently it's used in the Breach mode of the game as well.
So, do you think that technology like this really exists? Making yourself a hologram to communicate with others. Your not really there physically yet you are there.....as a hologram.
I had always assumed JC was modeled off of Adam. Adam's own backstory was as a genetic experiment to produce a human without resistance to mechanical augmentations, as we learn in side quests in HR. Megan Reed sampled and experimented with Adam's DNA during HR, where he was registered in her notes as Patient X as early as her office at the start of the game. MD is contemporaneous with Denton's creation (2029) and in the VersaLife vault in this game there is a conversation between Reed and Page detailing her progress on DNA transcription experiments, of which the Orchid is a byproduct (denatures DNA without repairing it). It's possible that JC is Adam's DNA, reformatted with Megan's research to take his genetic compliance with augmentations and apply it to nanoaugmentations. This would also fit the theme of Deus Ex protagonists all being clones of each other.
@@TheEssentialHughJazz Makes sense. All that if left to make sense of is how 2020's look insanely much more high-tech then the very 1990's 2050's of the original. Not a big deal, it's just that I am still a bit pissy about certain artdesign choices on these prequel games.
@@viewtiful1doubleokamihand253 I'm not well versed on Deus Ex lore, but I believe there is supposed to be some kind eartquake-based cataclysm between these prequels and the original. Maybe that caused some kind of technological setback.
Emiliano Vásquez Not really, no. It’s just a Star Wars thing of prequels making the world much more clean and high-tech then the supposed future events. That’s what you get when your designer wants to make stuff more beautiful and simply doesn’t give a fuck about continuity, is all.
