In the first part of the Haustiere/ pets video, the children learn important animal names.

The second part of the video covers the question 'Hast du Haustiere?' Do you have pets?
Various characters describe whether they have pets or not. This part of the video teaches basic answers to a yes or no question.
- Ja, ich habe einen Hund und eine Katze.
Yes, I have a dog and a cat.
- Ja, ich habe einen Wellensittich, einen Hamster und einen Goldfisch.
Yes, I have a budgie, a hamster and a goldfish.

In the third part of the video, the children have to point to the correct animal. Thus, the children repeat animal names.
The fourth part shows more complex sentences.

The final part of the video involves a matching exercise. The animal pictures have to be matched with the animal names.
