I feel like a lot of these answers sound very scripted... The goal in these interviews is to show that 1. you are going to be fun to work with 2. you are passionate/are somewhat competent For the tell me about yourself the 3 things I hit on are: 1. School -- what youre studying 2. relevant finance experience 3. Hobbies -- why you are an interesting person Why you want to work at ____ : Reach out to alumni that work at the bank and have a convo with them. Then say 1. Reputation, super prestigious bank/ want to surround myself with the best people 2. I reached out to _____ and drop specifics abt your conversation... I think that comes across much better than reciting the core values of their website For the other questions think of anecdotes that can be applied to a variety of different questions
Fair point... so what isn't a standard response? I get people commenting like this sometimes but they never offer an alternative - probably because they can't come up with one :)
