Since Germany lost territory, now they stay in The Netherlands, Poland, Denmark and Italy, so they don’t sing the 1st Stanza. However, the 3rd Stanza is considered the official German anthem, which starts with Germany's National Motto: “Einigkeit und Recht und Freiheit” (Unity and Justice and Freedom)

I've watched a few videos of Die Mannshaft singing the German National Anthem and it seems the individuals with descent from other countries, are not singing the lyrics except Klose. I wonder what their excuse is. Ozil, Gundogan, Poldolski, Boateng.
