Operator Mick Deutsch of Deutschland Farms is at the controls of his John Deere 8430 tractor while planting a dusty field near Burlington, Illinois. The tractor is pulling a John Deere 177ONT 16-Row Max Emerge XP planter. After finishing, Mr. Deutsch configures the planter to make it "roadable" before hauling it off the field.
A small dust devil whirled past me as I was videoing this. It took dead aim on the John Deere rig then decided to go around it.
