The "Deutschlandlied" (English: "Song of Germany"); also known as "Das Lied der Deutschen" or "The Song of the Germans", or part of it, has been the national anthem of Germany since 1922.
Every Japanese knows that Germany is a great and respected country . When I listen to German national anthem , I feel solemn and my soul purifies . I pray that there is God,s blessing and prosperity and glory in great Germany . Greeting from Japan .
The German national anthem was intentionally misinterpreted by enemy propaganda during the 2nd World War. The national anthem was inspired by the wars of liberation. Our country was oppressed by the Napoleonic troops. "Germany above all" was therefore an incentive or an invitation to preserve Germany. In this context, "Germany above all" is to be understood as a patriotic duty to preserve our country as a free country. It is by no means an expression of nationalism that degrades other countries. We do not want to stand above or among other peoples. Friendly Greetings from Germany
We Romanians truely respect germans. That's why we elected a german descendant as our president and had a german king. Hats off to Germany and its people !
I am not German, but lived there as an Army dependent twice - 1950-1954 and 1959-1962. I learned your national anthem in the school on base and have loved it ever since. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to live in your country at that time. Best years of my young life - I'm 73 now and miss it very much. I have been back, though, a couple of times! By the way, I still remember all the words - in German!
Above all was meant above all tiny independent german states that been covering the german Lands back then. You had unbelievable tiny states and everyone of it had a Feudal ruler and own laws&own currency etc. It was meant in "lets Unite cause we are all "GERMAN" so this is more important than having your own 100qkm2 state. Also love back to beautiful Serbia 😊
Freundschaftliche Grüsse aus der Schweiz. Mit euch macht man immer gute Geschäfte 🇩🇪🤝🇨🇭🤫😉 Kind regards from Switzerland. We always do good business with you
Greetings to my fellow Germans from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. We truly respect the Germans for their unity and you guys have a beautiful anthem! Es lebe die Einheit Deutschlands.
Had the pleasure of visiting Germany over the summer. Got to experience Berlin, Nuremberg, Heidelberg, and Neckarsteinach. It was an unforgettable experience with amazing food, beer, and history! I will be back. Greetings from the USA. 🇺🇸 🇩🇪
Thanks. I think that our athem is beautiful and awesome too. It fitts all of germany. The chaotic side the steriotypicle side, everything. its embodies the countries beautifulnes and its glory. Looking into the future and forgetting the past. Its even remarkable that we literlly kept our athem from the ahhem… war… but we just crossed the first two parts and we had a good athem and good music!
What a beauty and majesty! Loved this video. From USA. But 1922 had the first stanza while the current one after German reunification is third stanza of the same song.
@@hshshshshshshs8831 Listen, no one is making an argument with Nazis. That being said, "diverse and multicultural" only works when you have legal immigration of the cream of the crop from Asian countries, who send their best doctors and engineers to work, pay taxes and generally contribute to society. And even then, in small numbers.
Composer: Joseph Haydn from Lower Austria, Austria and not Germany, Austria had a lot of Composers, for example Strauss (Radetzkymarsch, Beautyful Danube)
"Bloom in the splendour of this happiness, Bloom, German Fatherland!" is part of the lyrics of this anthem that I am in love with. Fireworks salute with three cheers while I wave your flag high in the air. Greetings from Bulgaria
Sie kann so schön sein wenn sie so wie hier gespielt wird. Aber bei fast allen öffentlichen Anlässen klingt sie oft so... lasch, langsam, träge Es braucht einfach ein komplettes Orchester für diese Schönheit
I love the German national anthem. It is beautiful. If I had ever been in the German military I would have been in their musickorps. All of the German marches are wonderful.God bless Germany and all of her wonderful people.Love from Connecticut USA.
@@yakovmatityahu Soviets weren't christian, Hitler wanted to move Germany away from Christianity and actually considered returning to the old German paganism, Japan wasn't Christian. Maybe you should actually learn history before just hating things
Americans and THEIR misspelling of English words (our schools are, as you Germans would say, schlect). Hey, but we can do gridiron tackle football in million dollar high school stadiums, and "reedin and rytin is fur you Europeans". Then there is grammar. The past tense of "see" is what? Most Murricans get it wrong.
It has been listening since 2015. The National Anthem of Germany was unbelievable to listen to me at that moment. I will reach my goal. See you soon in Munich
I wanted to be a German instead of being born in this horrible place called Brazil ... being a German is a privilege, one of the greatest nations on the planet.
go to starnberger see if you visit germany! it's in bavaria just like königssee and near munich with the wonderful little city starnberg right besides it. one of the most beatifuk areas in the world. love my germany🇩🇪❤
Such a shame how Germany still receives backlash from its past when they are in reality one of the greatest countries on earth, I'm proud of my German ancestry.
I have part German in my blood i had ancestors in my family that was German i love hearing the German National Anthem good way to honor my ancestors that was German in my family
Look in the U.S. I have heard so many jokes about WW2 but I know somewhere there is the good and pure Americans who share their pride of Germany just like me and my family do. I am truly and utterly grateful that I am German and American. The U.S. national anthem is good but in my heart i prefer this anthem
I'm from the US but ethnically german and neither my parents or grandparents have had German citizenship. I want to move to germany but how do I gain my citizenship?
The third stanza became officially sung to public events since the 1950s when Germany was divided between Capitalist West and Communist East. West Germans at the time sung the third stanza that forbid the first two stanzas years after the second World War ended. It became official at the time of reunification.
Die deutsche Nationalhymne Gunthers eigentlich auch schon länger als seit den 1920ern! Z.b auch schon zur Zeit des Deutschen Bundes existiert die letzte Strophe unserer Nationalhymne…. Nur mal so am Rande
