Didn't see you checking the Head clearance. was usually done by putting a small bit of soft lead on top of the piston, tighten the head up and swing the engine through a revolution then take the head back off and measure the lead. add or remove shims at the bottom of the cylinder to adjust. bit of a faff but simple compared with getting blocks machined and all that.

anyone have a workshop manual? too funny watching you trying to load those pistons .notice the taper on the liners? break any oil control rings? measure piston protrusion for proper fire rings? betting you had piston to head contact. sorry, i have no filter.
@@duggy788 Yeah I used to pop `em in from the bottom, just as I do with motorcycle pistons. Only solid one-piece fixed cylinder blocks necessitate fitting pistons from the top. Good teamwork though
I think the air cooled Deutz is king of the diesels. Very good engines, and you don't have to worry about radiators, water pumps, hoses etc. German engineering at its best.
Couldn`t agree more, I remember marveling at the engineering when one first came into the workshop back in 1977.I follow Mark Felton`s vids on youtube, especially for the engineering prowess of Germany during 1st half of last century. Superb historian also. A local historian once told me that folk who lived along the Humber Estuary knew from the sound of the WWII aircraft engines, whether they were British or German built. British sounded like a bag of nails...German, like a sewing machine.

Wenn Sie die Kolbenbolzen nicht erwärmen, können Sie sie nicht ersetzen. Wir erweitern und installieren den Kolben durch Erhitzen. Inzwischen läuft der Motor seit einem Jahr reibungslos. Danke
@@Alikavas Ich möchte ihre Arbeit nicht in Frage stellen.Habe schon einige Motoren dieser Art gemacht und die Kolben noch nie erhitzt um den Bolzen einzusetzen. Spaltmass ist erforderlich sonst können die Kolben gegen die Zylinderköpfe schlagen,ist Deutz Werksvorschrift.
@@thomasesch9946 Vielen Dank für Ihre Erfahrungen. Die Luft war beim Einbau der Kolbenbolzen sehr kalt, so dass die Stifte nicht in den Kolben eindrangen. Wir haben es auch erhitzt.
