The fact that Sanemi in THAT age was able to kill a demon, without any training, shows how strong he is (he's the second strongest Hashira)

Sanemi actions are somewhat justified. He saw his mother killing all the siblings. And he just wanted to believe that Nezuko is no exception ..just because she is someone's sister.

Seeing a little bit of sanemi’s backstory from genya’s perspective makes you understand why he is the way he is. Dude had to kill his own mom because of how dangerous she was and what he saw her do to his siblings, nezuko was no exception and he wasn’t taking tanjiros word for it.

Was glad when this released and it gave insight as to why Sanemi treated Nezuko the way he did. Couldn’t trust his own mother who was the pillar of his family to not turn on them, so why would he expect it of some stranger and his kid sister?

As much as i like the wind hashira for his fights, I still think he's a big jerk. A sad backstory is not a free pass to act like a jerk.

Genya’s mom was probably turned into a demon that night. In previous scenes, you see her in the daylight, like when she’s hanging out the laundry.

Just like what u said tanjiro and ichigo is basically the same demom slayer is also inspired by bleach. Bleach inspired most of new gen animes thats why its regarded the most influencial anime in the big 3 or even of all time
