I’ve been making Reborns for 20 YEARS (way before GHSP were even invented;) Do not worry, there’s a new product heat set paint coming in called “Kabelka” which Bobbi Barfoot will be behind at Truborns. ❤️

I wish you best of luck with silicone reborns and aire dry paint. I adore your work and your channel. I was looking at little Sage the hole time and thinking of how cute she is! I love her so much and hope whoever adopts her will take great care of her. Sadly even If I want to adopt her so bad I dont live in the US😢.

That is sad news. I have heard that MacPherson has a new type of heat set paints. They work well with the GHS paints and are supposed to be very similar to GHS. However, I don't know how pricey they are. Good luck Misty with your new endeavors. I'm sure you will do great. 🌹❤ ~Gina

So sad and disappointing. I’ve been reborning since 2021 and I’ve tried air dry and not real good with it, it started peeling on my last one and was frustrated and mad and threw my kit away. Hope someone soon finds a solution. God bless and prayers for all

That's too bad...Another reason (as a collector) I like factory dolls like Adora and Paradise Galleries. I don't regularly collect them but they are less expensive and just as realistic.

I’ve used air dry for the past twenty years or more and I think that they are just as good as genesis. It will be hard for artists to make the change but you can do it. They are light fast if you use the right ones and don’t put the dolls in bright sunshine but you shouldn’t do that even with genesis. I have reborns I did more than 10 years ago and they are just as pretty now as they were when I painted them.

This is what I’ve heard. As long as they were done with good paints and a uv safe varnish they are good. I’m not upset about the heat set paints being temporarily gone. Too many people aren’t careful with them. The heat set process is toxic and I only see a few artists online taking proper safety precautions.

I made reborn dolls 15 ago with air dry and they still look the same as they did when I first made them I still use air dry too many people became e I’ll from genesis paints including the lady I first bought paints off from bloomers and bows she died she mixed her own paints including genesis I think she got liver problems from what I read people think My reborn s are real babies nothing wrong with air dry paints at all and they do not fade or run off for me

The issues that I’ve heard people being afraid of with air dry are ones I have not seen but could be contributed to artists using the wrong supplies as well as collectors not understanding how to care of their dolls. Collectors need to understand how damaging solvents are to all paint mediums. Alcohol, hand sanitizer, and baby wipes are/contain solvents, most perfumes contain solvents. None of these should be allowed contact with their dolls, and yet I see it all of the time on RU-vid.

I think air dry paint is ok as long as the artist seal it after painted…n you are so talented, you will be ok with air dry paint…I am a collector, not an artist, I don’t mind buying reborns paint with air dry as long as it’s sealed properly

Wow, so sorry to hear that. I guess I need to stock up on ghs this upcoming Friday before its all gone. This is totally devastating for us all in the community 😢, and now I have to get used to air dry paints that fades away fairly quickly than ghs. What a bummer

I'm a fairly new artist of only been painting a year but I'm kind of glad now I started with the air dry paint...... I don't think I'd have the patience to relearn on a new medium

I hope people switch to air dry while they have the opportunity. I’ve seen too many people not be careful about fumes and so many people still baking them in their ovens. When they do come back I hope more people will be more cautious with them.

I’m so sorry to hear this. I’m glad you have a lot of backstock so you can have time to play with other mediums as well. I know when I find a supply for my art that I love, I buy several of the item. Drives my mom a bit nutty but it’s all tidy and in very neat order. Very organized. But having extras means I don’t have to worry about them going away. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

I don't know much about heat set paints. Was this the only company that made these kind of paints and are they only for making reborn dolls? Very sad news for the reborn community, for a lot of you this is your means of support. Like you say it will take time to find an alternative. This pandemic has really made it hard for a lot of businesses to keep going and for life it's self to find the things you were always use to getting. Dolls are a blessing and a comfort and it would be a shame not to have that ability to make or buy them. Hopefully by the time you will need more they will have some available for this craft. Hang in there!!💞

Oh man! Well I'm glad Ive got the air dry paints to use when my GHS paints are gone! I'm going to order a couple GHS paints while I can because I know once more people learn of this the sites are gonna be sold out fast!

Also I want to clarify that I did not go and buy a bunch of random paints! I got 4 items in total to replace a couple colors and the thinning medium, that's it. I don't want anyone thinking I just bought up everything I could!

I heard about it and it's so sad 😢 for heat set Genesis paint 🖌️🎨and for reborn artist.omg 😲😩 and what going to happen to us reborn collector's that we love these fantastic work of art. I'm just 🙏 ING that they come up with something soon. I use acrylic paints and I'm only reborning the kit I have in my collection and they're not as good as Genesis paint.much love and have a wonderful day my friend 😍😀❤️

Wow, that is very sad news! You're so smart to have stocked up when you did! I'm sure we will lose some really good artist but I also think a lot of them won't give up and will learn using air dry paints and will put out beautiful babies. Sad news! 😢 I am not experimented at reborning and chose the Air Dry Paint because of a lack of space. I know that the techniques are different and that you have to work way more quickly if you don’t want paint brush strikes or spots of colour obviously because it dries so fast! I’ve seen that MacPhersons came up with a new heat set paint from Spain. They’re also providing videos on how to use it on their RU-vid channel! At least you have some Genesis for now but you surely have to think of an alternative now that they won’t produced them anymore! 🤔

I was just tagged in a post as I saw your video come up saying the same thing. I am heartbroken and extremely disappointed. I will definitely try to rally when I have the capital to purchase different paints. I really put myself out there getting the GHSP so it’s going to be a little minute. Man, I have wanted to do this since I knew it was a thing. Finally I get the opportunity and blah. I know….they definitely had us thinking they would release things again this summer and did, but quickly realized the formula was defective in some way.
