Great info. I grew up as an athlete in short sprint type sports. Now turning 40 soon and trying to get into longer distance running over the last year. I have been stuck with my aerobic endurance, and lactate threshold being too low. Just a 25 min 5K will have me at 180+ heart rate, and a 2.5hr Half Marathon being very difficult for me. Hopefully some of this information will help me build a better aerobic base. Great conversation guys, thanks for sharing.
