One important task (and I know the issues with doing so) is to combine the sensor and the inset to minimize the cost and more importantly the number of holes you have to poke through your body over the course of decades. Scarring and insulin absorption is a big issue after 23 years for me and I cannot afford the Minimed sensors at 50 bucks a sensor.
