I can't imagine how it would e with two, I really want to watch the dark knight with two of them or the dark knight rises, it would be insane I suggest you try some hans zimmer, it's insane
I have the same set but with the longer legs. Regarding the bass, you can boost it in the apps settings. I have no low volume bass issues, it could be my room too.
I tested out the 108db phantom and it's insane I love it so much but I don't want to spend $4k all at once but I'm not paying 30% interest either, maybe when interest rates come down
@@AudioAdvice Best Buy has it with no interest and monthly for $137.50 I think I'll do that when best buy let's me log back in since it won't let me reset my password💀
What is missing in your very informative review is how to hook 2 Phantoms as a stereo pair to a source with just one optical out. Well, I finally got it here from you BUT did that mean that the primary speaker (who takes the optical in) sends the other "half" of the stereo spectrum wirelessly to the other speaker? This is very important for me cause I want to use 2 Phantom IIs without a network, so is it possible?
Need help .. I have mid to large size room .. I planning to buy phantom.. your video is awesome n very helpful.. should I buy pair of 98db or single 108 dB. . What would u do ?
Thanks very much. If you enjoy sitting in front of your speakers and picking out where the performers are in a large soundstage, you would prefer the pair. But if you do not sit in front of the system, the larger one will provide more bass. We have most of them in stock too! www.audioadvice.com/shop-by-brand/devialet
I have four Bluesound Pulse 2's. The next upgrade would be to move up to Devialet Phatom 1's. The reason why I have not made the upgrade is because the devil you know is better than the devil you don't know. I'm familiar with Bluesound software but not Devialet. It would be great if you could make a video of the Devialet app on your iPhone and iPad and how well it integrates with Roon. Also, how did you hook up two Phantom's to your TV since TVs only have one optical out? Thanks.

Ah Phantom. I considered these heavily. The problem is they are so difficult to get actual hifi content to them. There’s no Tidal Connect. And now that Apple Music has lossless audio, that helps, but you can only get up to AirPlay’s limits. Your only real option is UPnP on a PC with hifi music you own. I ended up with KEF LS50 wireless ii. A much easier, and I personally believe, a much better sounding option.
I use an USB-C to optical converter off my MacBook Pro running UPnP from Roon as well as the Airplay2 and Spotify connect for less critical listening. These are the minimalist's dream and sound huge, warm and wonderful.
How much is that setup? I tested the phantom 108db and I really love it I've wanted them since they came out but then again I've only had jbl garbage and I have a HomePod and that doesn't work very well it doesn't like to connect half the time
Since you can connect one 98dB with one 103dB in a multi-room daisy-chained configuration to spread the sound out and provide more coverage, the Devialet app should make stereo pairing possible, although we haven't tried that and we wouldn't recommend doing so. Pairing two differently-sized powered speakers together with different power requirements and specs would not provide an optimal stereo image or soundstage. We are all about showing people how to achieve the best sound quality. So, while it could be possible, we wouldn't advise doing so, if you want the best stereo imaging from two Phantom speakers. Two Phantoms of the same model in a stereo pair will sound fantastic. We hope this helps. Thanks for watching.
Everyone hears a little differently, but to our ears the ADH (Analog Digital Hybrid) amplifier is warm, and musical, and not dry at all. Hearing them in person is really the best way to know for sure, of course. But, in our showrooms, these sound fantastic. Thanks for watching!
Hi thanks for the video, much helpful. Can you help me in choosing one from these... 2x 103 PHANTOMS VS DIONE please.. which one is good for mixed use? Thank ..
The Dione will work better if you connecting it to your TV and using it to mainly watch movies since it features Dolby Atmos and other great features when connected to a TV. You can still use your phantoms with your TV but they will perform better with music. 2X phantoms are also almost double the price as the Dione so that is another factor to consider. Either option we think you will be happy with.
@@AudioAdvice Hi thank you so much. The problem I'm facing is I have Bose 900 , bass 700 with surround speakers. This system lacks in stereo separation (left & right) as it comes from a sound bar. dose the Dione has the same problem ? that's why I want to know if phantom can have that good stereo separation. Also beside, If you have listened to Bose 900 sound bar with bass 700 and surround 700, how good would you say Dione is !! Thanks a lot ...
What about soundstage and realism? Do you need 2 speakers to creat a realistic soundstage and imaging, or will one speaker do this, or am I looking at the wrong product if I am looking for realistic sound construction ?
You really need two speakers to get a true soundstage. A single Phantom produces a very big sound, but its impossible to get stereo imaging to any degree with just one speaker. Please reach out to our team at www.audioadvice.com for more advice on the best speakers for your situation.
Hey. Choosing a pair of phantom vs a set of sonos. Id love to have atmos. Thing is i have an open space living room with no walls, distance from tv to the furthest sofa is 6meters and the ceiling height is 7 meters. Would your recommend a pair of phantoms or a set of sonos?
That is a large space! Of course neither of those choices will get you Atmos, but the pair of Phantoms will have far more bass than a pair of Sonos 5's. You could also consider a pair of Sonos 5's and two of the Sonos Subs. Thanks for watching
Hi Rohan! We're not sure we understand your question. Bang & Olufsen makes some really great products and software as well, but the Phantoms are really in a class of their own. @@AudioAdvice thanks for the reply I have Android so kinda disappointed about not being able to connect them all at once, I have the Dione and I'm planning on getting there Blue Phantom 2
That being said, I just bought two golds after buying a Reactor. These things are amazing. Back to the video. Nothing is perfect. He looks and sounds like he is reading a marketing glossy
I noticed my phantom gold recently stopped vibrating visually (still vibrate when I playing it but not really visible) on its ears, the sounds it makes still good and nothing really broken. Just wondering how can I turn the function back to make it vibrate harder as before.
You are right! The Phantom's extreme "implosive bass" woofer excursion will visually appear to vibrate very fast especially as you raise the volume of music with a lot of deep bass and this is very visual! If the woofers have stopped "vibrating," we would try testing out some really bass-heavy music with deep 808 subs, gradually raise the volume slowly and watch what happens as you increase the volume to a loud but comfortable listening level. When pushed, the "vibration" or woofer excursion will get very fast and you cannot miss it. Depending on what happens, there may be more to understand and troubleshoot. If you purchased your Phantom from us, please reach out to us in chat at audioadvice.io/aa-chat so we can help you troubleshoot the issue you are experiencing. Thank you so much for watching.

how nany of the phantoms can u conect at one time and play music at the same time wirelessly , wondering if it is possible to make surround sound in a large room , can u conect more than two? or is the only way is to use the phantom 2 using the 3.5 mm jack , and does the hiher dB phantom 2 also have a 3.5 mm jack
Hi Logan. Phantoms can be linked natively within the app. There's no hard cap over Airplay2 or hardwired - the amount of Phantoms is totally dependent on the network coverage and bandwidth and whether or not the speakers are hardwired. With good WiFi, 3-4 Phantoms should be quite stable. For anything more than that, an ethernet connection would be recommended. Same goes for AirPlay. No hard limit. Purely network dependent. We hope this helps and thanks for watching.
@@AudioAdvice very cool , is there a video talking about how wiring several via eathernet , are u able to still wirelessly stream audio to them from a device or do u have to buy some other hardware to link them together , or do u just have to wire them up to router or switch and connect to one via bluetooth , and if they wher linked up to multiple like four or so is there still left right seperation or more channels for soround sound or is it just mono , and what is the best devialet phantom you can buy , highest level and hardest hitting , i thought they made a 4500 watt phantom , was that just soly a class A ampiflire and not as efficient as there new ADH speakers , thanks
I have found that every inexpensive blue tooth speaker's volume can only go up to the highest volume on my iPhone. Will these speakers go beyond the limitations of my iPhone volume when playing music?

Hi, what do you think of using the phantom as a subwoofer since their lows is in the sub territory. So instead of having a sub only now I have sub and bt speaker.
Great question! Bluetooth 5.0 with connectivity for up to a 20 meters of range is on board. They do not have the aptX codec, however they do support A2D and AVRCP profiles, plus AAC, SBC audio codecs. The streaming protocol with Spotify Connect allows for lossless streaming, which is super important for non-Apple users that can't use Airplay - especially when Spotify releases their hi-res lossless streaming tier. So, if you are an Android user, Bluetooth is not your only streaming option. To learn more about how all this performs, you can read more about the wireless Bluetooth playback performance in our full-written comparison here: www.audioadvice.com/videos-reviews/how-to-choose-the-right-devialet-phantom/ Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
@@AudioAdvice bluetooth quality must be really low then if they dont support aptx hd? , i use soundcloud for my streaming and i have an adroid ? Am i screwed? I wanted to buy 2 of them off you guys
@@SamLGND Another great question! Soundcloud is a good music platform, especially for music discoverability with new up and coming artists you won't find anywhere else. On the other hand, if your main concern is to level up your audio quality when streaming, then a higher quality audio source such as Apple Music, Qobuz, Tidal, and eventually Spotify when they release their hifi streaming teir will benefit a whole lot more from having aptX HD (CD-like audio quality) over Bluetooth. As an audio source, Soundcloud's official website acknowledges their more expensive subscription tier only streams in a format that is encoded in 256kbps AAC, which is equivalent to an mp3 encoded in 320kbps (a lot less than CD-quality.) You really would not be getting the experience or the benefits of CD-like audio quality with aptX HD over Bluetooth, if your audio source is less than CD quality. We hope that helps! @@AudioAdvice my mains are Dynaudio Contours, I also use Focals and RBH’s. Like I said the Devialet’s sound like like trash! I’ve listened to them multiple times including my preferred Dynaudio dealer and they agree with my assessment. I will admit they would be amazing for a 20 year old frat boy, if he was drunk. Yes they hit really hard and go loud without distortion. I’d love to see independent testing.
