@@SinusDoctor1 The nasal endoscopy showed that my anterior part of the septum was deviated to the right and it is severe enough for me to see it in front of a mirror with my phone torch shin8ng in the nostril. Hi Thank u 1. I will try to upload a short video on how septoplasty is done. If the bend in septum is minimal, we try to reshape and replace it. If the bend is severe, we remove the bent part completely 2. The surgery is done under general anesthesia, so there will be no pain during the procedure. After surgery also, patients usually do not experience anything more than mild discomfort/ pain. Our preventive discharge medications will be helpful even for that.

My nose started to get crooked at the age of 10-12 years and nowadays im havinf breathing problem, which is increased at all. I am 21 yrs right now and can't breathe properly with the left side of my nose properly (a blockage) and so my nose shaped is bend like "C". So as you mention the surgery will help me to get a comfortable breathing but i was wondering whether i will be able to a normal and straight looking nose, like before? Please answer. Thank you.
Hi, the outer shape of nose will not change with a septoplasty if that is what you are asking. It requires rhinoplasty. Nose block caused by DNS will definitely improve with septoplasty.
Can an S Shaped Deviation with posterior bend be repaired with Closed Technique using 1 incision? Does this type of deviation have more post operative pain and complications?
I had gone under CT scan recently to confirm my DNS and after the scan the doc. Said i need surgery. Usually i do not have a problem everyday it's worst only when i get cold.. It doesn't go for months and i suffer a lot.. Please help me with my concerns below doctor. 1. My nose looks very big after surgery will it become normal in size? 2. I always feel sleepy. Is it because of DNS? 3. My forehead feels swollen and my eyes always feel very heavy. Is it because of DNS.?
Hi, i have to see the scan myself to comment. Is it only DNS? I do not rely on CT scan report. No, nose external shape will not subside with surgery. Nose block can lead to improper sleep but may not be the only reason. Sleep study is necessary. Patients with frontal sinusitis can feel heavy in forehead. Please seek second opinion if you have concerns.
sir i am done with septoplasty operation after that few days later i am getting same blockage i am not able breath comfortable nose blockage happens if right side block means left side able to breath and vice versa operation was done 2 months back still i am facing the issue what are the precautions need to take

I have a complex DNS and huge concha bullosa, and I'm catching almost everytime a rhinitis when there's a lot of wind, or when I am spending some time in a room with air conditionning. @@SinusDoctor1 when I have a rhinitis, it's hard to breath correctly, and for a week I'm ill with huge headaches, teeth aching, very hard to sleep, and a stuffy and runny nose. Paracetamol 1000mg 3 times a day help me to relieve it. I'm 52, and the issue worsen a lot during the last decade. The main iusses that I'm facing because of rhinitis is that I am afraid to get out my house, and I can do it only when there's no wind, and that I can't stay in a room with air conditionning, and on a daily basis, that's very hard to handle and reduce dramatically the time that I spend with others. So my hobbies and friends are now very reduced because of this.
Sir recently I have undergone CT OMC plain which reads out subtle nasal septum deviation, concha Bullosa in the left middle turbinate, Mild left maxillary sinusitis with partial obstruction to drainage pathway... and I have severe nasal block and congestion, post nasal drip, difficulty breathing all the time, snoring, Ear Blockage with head heaviness and Foggy head same as it feels in cold infections, Is the deviated septum causing all these problems sir?
Hi, deviated septum appearance is downplayed on CT scan, get a nasal endoscopy done. Also get a DICOM Cd and let the ENT Surgeon view it entirely, some findings might have been missed in report.

Hi, i usually do not prefer to operate until 15 years age. If the child has severe nose block because of a deviated septum, then yes, the surgery must be done.

Hi, nasal cycle is a physiological phenomena occurring for everyone but normal people are not aware of it. Alternating nose block is very much a symptom of sinusitis.
Sir, Thank you for explaining this in a very simple & precise way. I have a question. I have DNS & find it difficult to breath as both nostrils r almost blocked. But why does this blockage temporarily subside when I do some small amount of physical exercise or brisk walk??
Thanks for your compliments. The nose is a very vascular structure with a number of blood vessels. The changes in the blood supply to nose can change the thickness of mucosal lining of the nose and sinuses producing temporary relief. Please get yourself checked by a nearby ENT doctor

I have tested as per the method and DNS is confirmed. But why when face this issue my whole left side becomes light-weighted. I feel like there is muscus in the left side of my head. Aslo Bloating happens. Stomach gives voices. I mean the whole left side faces the issues along with the nose. I feel relief for a few hours when ai slepp or when I eat something, when it get digested, the whole trouble comes in play again. So I'm facing this issue 24/7. To which Specialist I should consult. Who can handle it perfect, I mean and ENT or Cardio or anyone else?

How do we know if it increases rapidly? I am scared as of now since I don’t have any symptoms and will it damage any other organs is what concerned. I did MRI Brain (Plain/contrast) test and Neurologist says no significant damage to Brain or Skull - what should I do please suggest Also one quick question - will smoking increase this perforation?
Hello Sir, I got the septoplasty and turbinate reduction surgery done in May this year, first three to four weeks were very very good, I was able to breathe very good, sleep quality imroved drastically and it felt life changing. But after sometime I faced problem of crusting inside nose but that too got reduced with time and almost gone within a month. But sir for the past 3-4 months I am facing a problem, I don't know what it is called. The flaps around my septum swells from both sides while breathing in and out and it actually creates uncomfort especially while sleeping, and I feel the sleep quality issues similar to before surgery. Sometimes the problem is there in daytime too and I feel nasal obstruction. I hope you are getting to know the problem I am facing. I visited my doctor in September end, he gave me furamist spray again for 2 months but I didn't see any difference. Please suggest Sir, what should I do for this now. Hi, allergic bronchitis is a chest issue completely different from DNS/ Chronic sinusitis. In allergic bronchitis, you experience tightness in chest, wheezing sounds, dry cough.

Sir ,i had throat pain and ear pain ..Doctor conducted endoscopy ...he told redness is there ...but everything is ok....but throat pain is there sir when yawning ,moving tongue and sometimes it is causing ear pain also.... recently when I had ct scan for nose I came to know I had deviated septum....from two months the throat pain is not reducing sir....during nights I have throat irritation alot....
