Devika Manjith started her journey of classical dance from the age of three, under Sri.Prasad Bhaskara. Later, eminent artists like Kalamandalam Leelamani teacher and Kalakshetra Priya Ranjith became her Gurus. She also studied folk dance from Satheesh sir and Mohiniyaattam from Dipshi Raj.
Devika, who is now studying in 12th standard is not only a classical dancer, but also a trained musician. She began her music journey at the age of 5. She got trained in classical music and violin from that young age itself. She bagged several prizes in competitions from her childhood itself. She got first prize in Folk dance consecutively in the CBSE State Kalolsavams held at Palakkad and Trivandrum. Later, as she wanted to participate in the Kerala school kalolsavam, she moved to Kerala syllabus. The beginning was glorious. She got first prize in Kuchipudi and Mohiniyaattam in UP level district kalolsavam. She secured A grade in Bharathanatyam, Mohiniyaattam, Violin Eastern and Group song in the state level 60th Kerala school kalolsavam, held at kanhangad, when she was in 9th std. Now, after the covid break, She is the Bharathanatyam top scorer of state level 61st Kerala School kalolsavam held at Kozhikode.
