Dez is an amazing guy, intelligent, funny, a true gentleman and a perfect example for metalheads to follow, a humble man who is friendly and down to earth, no ego at all. I always feel the need to complement people on that when I see it. Wish we had more people like him. DevilDriver is amazing
Hearing Dez speak about spirituality makes me wish I could hear a conversation between him and Warrel Dane about the same topic, I can't even begin to imagine how deep that conversation would be
Dear João The books mentioned were: Richard Branson's "Like A Virgin: Secrets They Won't Teach You at Business School". The "Beowulf", which is an Old English heroic epic poem and one of the most important works of Anglo-Saxon literature. He also mentions "The Bhagavad Gita", which is a 700-verse scripture that is part of the Hindu epic Mahabharata. And finally "The Tibetan Book of the Dead", or sometimes translated as "Bardo Thodol". It is a funerary text. Best wishes, Richman
Awesome guy, cool to see an intelligent creative metalhead show a down to Earth side with substance and yet, still bring the BEAST musically! Dez rules!!!
Dez is a pretty cool dude. You can tell that he's quite intelligent. Similarly... Corey Taylor is quite intelligent, and a good interview. I think it's funny that so many people feel that guys that look like them or play music like them, are "ignorant". That's why I think perusing interviews like this helps people see a human side to the characters these guys portray in many instances.
If you watch a lot of ndes or near-death experiences it's been claimed been seen endless thousands of people overtime that yes some people were born some people stay on in haunted places some talk of their being at the light and the otherworldly place it's like heaven some people really do believe a simple answer that they choose to come back to this life almost like you when you die here you go there you live there for awhile when you die there come back here restart your life again. Living on both sides of existence Zumiez people have been through a near-death experiences can explain what a little bit of over there is like is really just beyond mind-blowing what worries me is all the people that died and thought they were singing hell and what they saw and how similar was was from one store to the next and certain things you wouldn't mind one imagined could be matched.
