I'm embarrassed to admit but I had a tear in my eye the first time I heard Everytime. It's more heartbreaking now, like Lucky. But Toxic and Boys are my top Britney songs.
@@MegTheGreat82 to be honest with you I'm not a Britney fan but there is something incredibly haunting about that song, and the video, WOW! It really does give you insight into that poor woman's state of mind and what she dealt with
@@SidixGuedes Indeed! That outfit was amazing and some can disagree with me, but I think she started the 'extra-sexy award show female performances' with that right there! I mean she made jaws drop with it and her outfit! It was bad-ass 100%! Britney was an innovater! And for being so young, you gotta give her props🔥She is pure talent and deserves much credit! I'm so happy she is FREE now!❤️
Britney was just 19 when this song was released. This song was huge when I was in high school. I don't think I've heard the entire thing until today though. Britney was one of those musical artists people either absolutely used to avoid or loved.
If you wanna hear a different side of her, listen to the song "Everytime" (and watch the music video!). It's the total opposite of this and "...Baby One More Time". 😊
I love Britney!!! My favorite song of hers is "Everytime." You also have to check out "Inside Out." It was the best song on her "Femme Fatale" CD. A lot of us thought it would've been a huge smash hit, but for some reason, it was never released as a single.
Wow, I can't believe this song is 21 years old already. I remember watching the world premiere on MTV back then after they showed the making of of this video. Interesting fact, during the shooting a camera fell on Britney's head. Luckily it was nothing serious.
@@angelika_munkastrap4634 As a teen at the time I hated it but now with many years behind me I recognize it now as one of the great pop songs of this century
Hmmmmm well ok, maybe I'll give it another listen then. It's sure been a long time, and tastes do change. I also hated once Cher made a change to electronic sound, stopped listening to her at Do You Believe in Life After Love
Definitely try 'Stronger' and 'Toxic' by Britney Spears. Also 'Everytime' is a really beautiful, sad song, and completely different to this one and a lot of her other material. It's definitely worth watching the music video for that one. I'd love to see your reaction!
You should try from first album: *Sometimes *(You Drive Me) Crazy *I Was Born To Make You Happy *From The Bottom of My Broken Heart from second album: *Lucky *Stronger *Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know
When you're 31 years old and still have to do Britney's dance everytime you listen to this song alone. 😎 It's been instilled in me since I was in the 5th grade.
I saw her in concert right around the time Hit Me Baby One More Time came out at the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach. She hadn't quite reached the height of her popularity yet. I had a huge crush on her.
You can't be mad at her. It's an anthem for all the girls out there who have been played. Guys release songs about their conquests and bragging about being "players" all the time especially back then. I thought it was great how she flipped it. It's also a great great pop record.
Check out Britney's, "I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman." You get to her more of her natural voice instead of the "baby voice." She's on a cliff in the video and apparently "heavy winds almost dropped her over."
Christina Aguilera had some great songs around the same time. 'Genie in a Bottle', and later 'Beautiful', 'Fighter','Can't Hold Us Down' all great tracks
I love Britney Spears. She has some of the best pop songs ever written. Born to Make You Happy, You Drive me Crazy, Overprotected and Stronger are all amazing.
You know, in the overhead shot on this video the camera fell off and crashed on her head so they had to stop the shot for a day, but she came back like a champ. I didn't appreaciate her that much when she came out but she was a hard worker alright.
My 2 oldest daughters LOVED her! I took them to see her and N'Sync together in my area when they were 11 & 10. They were in awe and so excited. My oleat passed away 18 months ago at the agenof 30. I'm glad I could give her that experience when she was young.
Brittney was/is/came to perform! She never disappointed. You can tell she always worked hard & had drive and determination. So saddening how the industry did her. I have always been a huge Britney fan, since like 8th grade lol
@@bryanstarke2931 Yeah, I realised after commenting and I previously liked it, too. I follow so many reaction channels, I often forget who reacted to what already. 😅
When I was a little girl Prince's "Little Red Corvette" was quite popular. I thought Trojans were horses. I had no idea the real meaning, of course. There was also Juice Newton's "Angel of the Morning". I loved her back then and still do. I thought she was talking about a literal angel :)
Brittany is a former Mousekateer on the Disney Channel and in the music video I Wanna Go, you'll see her wearing a Mickey shirt and it's her push back against the Paparazzi.
the enormity of Spear's presence in Pop Culture in the year 2000 can't be overstated... this album debuted at #1, sold more than 1.3 million copies in the first week, setting records, and she signed an $8 million deal with Pepsi and was in numerous commercials for them... she was everywhere!
You hear that this is a Max Martin song... you hear Backstreet Boys in this song This track was written and produced by Max Martin and Rami Yacoub, while background vocals were provided by Martin and Nana Hedin. You don’t know who Max Martin is? Just check him up on Wikipedia
