Notifications from you always make me smile! Seriously though, this was fucking awesome. The fact that the lyrics are really stupid only makes it better in my opinion. You are a genuinely talented singer, ya know? This was a blast to listen to. Keep up the good work, Nikki~
Dang, thank you! I have no idea how this ended up my most popular youtube thing so often, but it's still ok. There's an older version on Dwelling of Duels dot net that's terrible, look that up at my own risk. Got another Devil May Cry upload to make by tomorrow though, keep an eye out, I've gotten a lot better at actual guitar since this one.
Sure. I make stuff on the legal grey, so no monetization guarantees. I keep a "use it for whatever w/namedrop" disclaimer in the channel description, but it's still nice of people to ask.
This was super good! Only gripe is I think the music is too loud in ratio to your singing, other than that, it is awesome. I totally understand what you mean about making the lyrics not sound dumb, hahahaha! This song, aside from the clean vocals part, seems like it would be very hard to cover.
"Most of the lyrics to this song are dumb as hell and harder than you'd think to make them sound like they aren't." Yes. This is true. But that's why this song is so good. Because when it starts blasting in the Credits, it DOES work.
Not to insult you, considering that, this is one of my favorite covers of this song and when compared to the other covers, it sounds pretty unique. But, what's with this audio quality? It sounds even more dated than the original. It sounds like a song, that was popular back in 90s or even 80s, but it wasn't popular enough to get a remaster.
I wasn't as passable at mixing and mastering 4 or 5 years ago, not much else to it aside from the grating midi guitar I was using for a bunch of stuff at the time.
ah, gotcha. A friend and I compose our own version of "Devils Never Cry," but he said he's in need of a guitar vst and midi controller. He uses FL Studios as well, so if you can help us anyhow, that would be appreciated. We'll credit y'all, too! ;D
