You're the best trophy/achievement hunting channel on RU-vid, no joke. Love the long-form format, excellent editing and sound, discussion mix of commentary, game lore and strategy. I think it's great you combine live clip and post completion commentary . Also, your stuff is just plain entertaining because of the variety of emotions you go through, from frustrated rage, focused determination and warped humor. For real, I always appreciate when one of your platinum vids pops up in the feed.

In terms of that guy saying you can save in the bloody palace in DMC5. There's a similar feature that let's you SUSPEND your run so you can come back later but it can only be done after a wave is over and it's only there so you can take a break. If you die you lose the file and the game won't let you play the story until you finish it.

that dude at 35:07 was right, the bloody palace offers an exitsave that is deleted upon reentering the bloody palace it doesnt count as a checkpoint but it allows time for sleep between dropping and picking back up the game. thats how i cheesed it as vergil, id leave bloody palace and copy over the exitsave and then try again, if i fail, i copy the exitsave back over and carry on. its is a bit scummy but i had just picked up the game and it was the first thing i did after beating human mode and proloque urizen as both vergil and nero.

Yup as someone who's also Platinumed every DMC game I feel your pain on this one 😂. DMC4SE was def the hardest of the bunch, 5 was really tough to due to H&H S ranks (did 5 AND 5SE plats) but 4 geeeesh I don't think I could do it again 😂

Just a heads up BP in DMC5 does have a suspend option in the pause menu, it doesn’t let you do much else besides main menu, the void, gallery and bloody palace but yeah. I’ve had to suspend a few runs now and again cause I had to cook. It’s a real lifesaver. Dunno if it was irony in the video but that dude got the smoke

Stumbled upon your DMC5 plat video and had to see more, you're a beast bro. I couldn't help but be frustrated a little when you were fighting around those squid creatures as I'm sure you can kill them, it has been some time since I played DMC4 so I may be wrong.

This was the last game in the series that I earned the platinum for. I too can say that I have them all now, which is pretty rad. Even that reboot. Lol. DMC4 was probably the hardest, though. I just got the platinum for DMC4 SE today and I wanna die lol. The toughest Bloody Palace for me ironically was Lady. And what pissed me off the most was I died multiple times to either floor 85 or 88 cause of Blitz or something else. Then on my third attempt when I beat Dante, RIGHT before the result screen showed: "An error has occurred in the following application"...so because the result screen technically didn't show up fast enough it didn't count. So I had to redo her BP 2 MORE TIMES. So yeah that was fun. Anyway this was really relatable, good job :)

I didn’t see it in the vid, but Dante has a powerful room clear with pandora’s box as well where he throws it on the ground and a bright ass light leaks from it when he opens it almost killings everything

Thanks for standing up for the reboot. The story is obviously terrible but the gameplay has been one of my favorite ever in the franchise. The combat feel so smooth too

What a great achievement, congratulations, I already platinumed DMC5 and it was HELL, it wasn't worth it, I did it because I had half the trophies, the hardest thing by far was the V phases, especially against Niddhog, without taking damage on Dante must die to earn S more easily, it was one of the moments that I screamed the most with anger, pure hate you have no idea.. DMC4 platinum seems to be.. several layers deeper in the sense of "hell" I will never do that, it's extreme stress that can even be bad for my health, you're extremely calm it's impressive.

No one tell him about the Suspend option in bloody palace. Making a whole 3 minute long joke in your video mocking a guy who was literally right is not a good look.

Fighting the pope in all of his forms was the most miserable thing I have ever experienced in the entire franchise, that includes the cringe dialogue in the reboot.

I got the plat on this game twice. I actually loved it that much. Wish they would release it on switch so I could play it handheld. I did not love DMC5. Its good, just not what I wanted. The level design is gross out and too dark. The backgrounds in DMC4 are awesome. DMC 3 is even better, but nothing beats the atmosphere in DMC1.

I wonder if Capcom will ever learn that enemies that can just hide inside the wall are "no good" in a game like this. I mean, I can give DMC1 a pass, because at least you could one-shot the Sin Scissor and Sin Scythe and Death Scissor and Death Scythe usually would camp inside the walls for too long. But the stupid Fallen in DMC3 and the stupid Mephistos and Fausts in DMC4 can just go and f*ck themselves! I mean, DMC3 as a whole has pretty garbage enemies but at least I can see what the developers were going for with Dullahan and Enigma. With The Fallen I can't even imagine what they wanted that enemy to be, aside from being not fun to fight at all.

For me the hardest thing is the bloody palace, their's too much bull shit enemies in them and for me i sucked at it I could only do dante because of his super costume, as for vergil I could but don't have his SC, and for NERO Lady and Trish their really hard because the bull shit enemies and blitzes(and honestly my causal playthrough i loved dmc4SE, honestly it's my favorite dmc game.)

So DMC5 bro might've thought you could Suspend and go back to the campaign which isn't the case. Suspend only lets you quit to title so you can exit the game and keep your spot if you want to play another game.

I hated mission 4 with a living passion. Because of the blue fucking thingies. I immediately left Nero to last, cuz i cant stand him. Beat everything with Vergil and the lesbian power couple. For some damn reason, the platforming and having enough patience for the stupidity of the game ... was the hardest thing.

As soon as you mentioned mission 13, my PTSD hit me like a truck. Hours upon hours of trying to beat mission 13 on dante must die mode has left me mentally broken. I managed to beat it but the damage was already done.

yes, in dmc5 you CAN back out of the bloody palace, but it has to be only once the level you're in is defeated, and you also can't play other missions while it's backed out, it's basicly just so you can turn it off and come back right in next time, it's the "suspend" option

I’ve been a gamer for over 25 years. When it comes to trophies it’s SO. ADDICTING. however, getting a platinum just seemed so impossible. However, after watching your videos I’ve gained so much confidence. Well, just today I got my FIRST platinum on my favorite game, Persona 5 Royal. That guy who was telling you about BP wasn’t technically lying. The suspend feature is great, and if you backup the file, and die on say, floor 101, and reload the save, you can go back to your most recent file. But you did it without knowing it, so clearly you didn’t need that.

In DMC5 you can backout of the bloody palace using the "suspend" button and you can go back and play from that point at any time. THAT being said, you can't continue playing anything else other than the Bloody Palace or you lose your progress. Not sure if that's what you're talking about because I haven't watched your DMC5 video yet lol

35:27 What? There's a "Suspend" option in the pause menu though. You can absolutely save your Bloody Palace progress. The only condition is that the game tells you that starting a mission will end your Bloody Palace run.

35:24 I know it doesn't really matter or anything but in DMC5 BP there is an option called "Suspend" and you can use it to get out of the game mode without losing your progress. It is not like a save because if you die you have to start all over again, but it is a nice quality of life option.

If there is only one enemy type that I could remove permanently from DMC, an enemy type since the first game that continues to baffle me as to how it was deemed a fair challenge by the devs, it’s the ghost types. No enemy should be able to retreat out of bounds and be able to attack you without any opportunity to counter or retaliate.

The part where you insulted the guy who claimed you can save scum DMC 5's BP was a bit harsh considering he's actually right. You can suspend the mode in the pause menu on cleared floors and backup your save to the cloud.

20 missions 5 difficulties 100 S ranks S ranking Bloody Palace is stupid. SSS kills on each boss is stupid. At least in DmC you only gotta get SSS on 10 missions, across any difficulty. At least in 3 you just need to S rank a single difficulty. At least in 2 and 1 you only have to get an S rank once. 4 and 5? Worst trophies Ive ever seen. They dont even tell you rank requirements.

This one was also a massive pain in the ass to pull off for me as well, lol. I went for it and the amount of times I've almost just deleted this game to never touch it again. Congrats on another godly achievement.

The guy that commented that you can back out of the dmc5 Bloody palace was actually right. they added that in, I literally just did it last month because I cleaned up the 100% completion for the ps4 version(Turns out I didnt need to because I didnt die but better safe than sorry).If you don't believe it just try it for yourself takes like 1minute to do. Not possible in dmc4 tho has to be done in one sitting

I’ve only platted DMC 1, 2, 3 and DmC, and am terrified of the challenges with platting 4 and 5.

i can barely make it through one playthrough of this game, my hats off to you sir. The level design along with the the trash enemies make the story an absolute chore to get through that is void of any ounce of fun. DmC reboot is so much fun and i would play that over this bs any time of day

the guy who mentioned the bloody palace "quit out and save" was actually right, you can suspend your progress after finishing a floor, then go into your save file and make a backup of it, then whenever you die you close the game and put back in your save file from the suspended bloody palace and it will be back sorry to be like the 5th person I've seen comment about the bloody palace asshole guy and to be a big ol nerd emoji about it but he was actually right because I abused that trick myself to get through Nero bloody palace 😅 sucks that the asshole was right lol (also I have no clue if the trick works for consoles but I know for sure it works on PC because that's what I did it on)

How do you s rank heaven or hell? Also if you somehow manage to die as Trish against anything that isn't blitz, then you haven't been using enough round trip with straight, aerial pandora cancel spam (gives her a lot of devil trigger) and her devil trigger. Also, you should have used Vergil instead. Also, fancy combos suck while moves that are short and keep you mobile are better to use in dmc4 as otherwise you tend to get sniped by random attacks.

Didn't know about the hidden health pools, but Lady having the lowest makes sense since she's human compared to everyone else.

Dear god I remember this one. People say DMC5's platinum is bad, but honestly, *this one's much, much worse.* I'd much rather deal with Xenoverse 1's RNG again than having to deal with the goddamn bloody palace (And yes, DB Xenoverse 1 is 10x worse than XV2) Hell, I'd much rather sit through the slog that is DMC2 again than trying to no damage the final bloody balace boss

I think you've made a mistake when chose Lady & Trish as your main team for S ranks, which led to you hating this platinum. I decided that I won't be doing so. And I'm currently 39/42 trophies into the platinum on PC. The game feels so much better as Nero. Yeah, at first you'll have a hard time with these enemies even as him, but when you learn how to bully them, it's the best feeling ever. I'm absolutely demolishing everyone in my way as Nero, including bosses. I earned achievements for SSS finishers on all bosses as Nero, and learning them was a ton of fun. Now I can pretty much no damage all of them with ease. The only exception when I had to use the Lady cheese is SSSing Dante, because his behavior is very different and he can't be comboed properly unless you abuse his AI. S-ranking Nero's missions was a breeze. But I was very intimidated when it came to S-ranking Dante's missions, because I like his gameplay much less than in DMC5. It took me a while to get used to him, to stop misinputing styles, because Dark Slayer style made it a bit confusing. But here I am now. All of the difficulties are S-ranked, including DMD. And Mission 14, which was a nightmare for you, wasn't so bad for me. I probably beat it in under 10 tries on DMD. I had to use the Distortion technique though, in order to rack up way more style with Real Impact, but it wasn't hard. I'm not sure if I even learned it after all. I just kept spamming DT turn on/turn off and it just kinda worked. The only unfinished business I have with this game is beating BP as Lady and Trish. I tried playing Trish a bit, and even despite having nearly 0 practice, her gameplay felt very powerful. Shouldn't take too long. My platinum journey, actually, had quite the opposite effect than yours. It made me like the game more. Because in the beginning I was sucking so bad, despite already having a DMC5 platinum and understanding how the combat works. But when I improved, it's pure fun. And even Chimeras, Blitzes and Faults can't ruin it for me.

Just came here to say I got the platinum trophy, and it wasn't as bad to get as you made it seem. That could be because I didn't use lady and trish to do everything, but hey that's just me. Although I will say trying to s rank some missions on dmd and doing bloody palace as trish were the hardest things for me to do in the game. 😁

~10:00 ffs this game has options menus. One of them is letting you to choose if your targets will be picked based of how far they are to you or how far they are from the center of your current POV. The skill issue is out of the roof.

You sh1ttalked a guy who said that you can savescum Bloody Palace in DMC5 over a minute. But actually you CAN. For example suspend the game on floor 50, backup savefile in psplus cloud, continue until you die, then load save. Damn, dude, that's sucks :/

Fun fact. There actually is a save option for bloody Palace in devil May cry 5 special edition, I don't know about the regular version but you can suspend a play session in special edition and pick up right where you left off. The way it's done is is once you kill all the enemies in the floor you have the option to go forward into the light and go to the next floor or pause the game and click suspend session and it will save where you're at

Dunno if you knew this already or not, but you can change the lock-on setting to 3 variables.

fun fact, if you equip Dark knight sparda, Prototype nero, or corrupt vergil, then exit out and choose super mode, you can use that costume with super form :P same for EX colours
