31:31 That feeling during the fight: you just realize that one of the brother must lose the fight and the peak moment of the game is here... Good memories...
"Your nightmare begins here!" It's fitting that it's in the DMC4SE section, since there is when Vergil truly became disgustingly overpowered and just became stronger as time went on (DMC5SE)
Devil May Cry 3 Vergil is my favorite series of boss fights in a character action game ever. He isn’t an obstacle that has a set pattern you’re required to follow, but instead he’s an equal for you to test your current skill level on. His final boss battle also feels fair, though challenging. If you have mastered or even become familiar with the player actions, then you’re familiar with a decent amount of Vergil’s move set. No other Devil May Cry game has had a rival boss character as good as DMC3 Vergil. DMC4 Dante was a clear attempt at that, but fails because he just counters everything you do, so you can’t really fight him without it feeling awkward. I’ll always have a soft spot for my perfect blue clad Son of Sparda.
same here, my only problem with him being the regenerating health on higher difficulties, but apart from that. he's a brilliant boss i do get why they done that though, cause like you said. he's an equal to the player. in every way (and regenerating health is DT is something the player also has)
True. Capcom didn’t really capture that same quality in later entries though. DMC4 Dante isn’t fun to fight because he just counters everything you do because *he’s Dante,* and his real fight becomes a slog to fight through. DMC5 Vergil is awesome, but still isn’t quite as balanced as he was in DMC3. He’s fun to play as, but he doesn’t feel like he’s within Dante’s league anymore. If you got the Special Edition of DMC5 or the Vergil DLC, you’ll probably notice how insanely broken he really is in 5. I love all the games (even DMC2, though it doesn’t deserve it), but DMC3 Vergil is best Vergil from a gameplay perspective.
@@animecommander9433 i agree (as a boss he definitely is) but when it comes to playing as him, i prefer the DMC4/5 Version, him being totally OP is why i like him xD
I love Vergil and all that, but I'll always keep a soft spot for Nelo Angelo and all the mystery behind him before the big revelation and later character development
Nero: dad can we change the music i'm tired of being motivated Vergil: NAAAANIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thank you for this compilation, I guess if you work out with this, you just don't want to dissapoint vergil and gives your best to get more power with all the motivation you earn from this playlist xD I love bury the light and all the incredible mastering behind victors awesome singing, but "ultra violet" and "dmc3: vergil boss theme 2" will always have a special place in my heart :)
I've always wondered if at the time of DMC 1 that the developers at Capcom had the idea of Vergil already and being Dante's twin brother, along with the fact Vergil was Nelo Angelo during DMC 1. It's unlikely given how DMC 1 even came about, that and they'd need to have foreseen the game being an overwhelming success to warrant prequels and sequels. Still food for thought though. Great mix btw, all of Vergil's themes in one place from the DMC games. Bangers to be sure. I'd be seriously impressed if variations of his themes from other games he starred in were included too.
7:03 A certain youtuber while playing UMVC3 with a big group of friends: Did you say Vergil? * ojou sama laugh * I don't need to know how to play this character.
@@DatMentalGamer In Metal Gear Solid 5 i liked big boss (Venom Snake). Not just him, i also like Ocelot. That crazy Gunslinger Cowboy.🤠 "You're pretty good"✌✌
@@jonathanmichaelsihombing same, Ocelot has a really interesting story and some would even say he's the Main Protagonist (as he's in every game, and helped orchestrate some of the ingame events)
@@DatMentalGamer If only Solid snake has a son. Then the Metal Gear Legacy will continue. But the only thing i know is Raiden was the only Cyborg Ninja that carry on the Legacy of Metal Gear. Raiden helps Solid Snake twice. Now Raiden was the one who continue his Legacy.😔🙏⚔
@@jonathanmichaelsihombing indeed. also the ironic part of Rising is that the whole plot of Raiden being able to kill Armstrong is cause of Sam in the first fight Sam wanted to test Raiden to see if he had what it took (he also cut off his hand and cut his eye out to also give him motivation) then when Raiden meets Monsoon, Sam insists on fighting him, to which Monsoon declines (i would imagine Sam would've been slightly annoyed here) in the second fight Sam wanted to see if Raiden could kill him (if he could, he could take on Armstrong, and if he fails, Sam would do it instead) as we know Raiden did kill him. and then took on Armstrong and done exactly what Sam had been trying to now why would Sam want to kill Armstrong. and that's simple, he took his Arm (much like Sam would end up doing to Raiden) Sam even went as far as setting his sword to lock after he has been killed only for it to unlock at the precise moment that Raiden lost his, almost like he knew what would happen my point here is that much like Ocelot, Sam is a total Mastermind, and some would also say he's the protagonist (same with Ocelot)

5:32 Am i the only one who think that this part reminded me to One theme: comeade's song of drakengard 3 , i always finded resemblance between vergil and one in someways(although one and vergil totally have different moralities
i don't count V or Urizen as Vergil, it's like Vader and Anakin Skywalker to me. same body. different minds (or in V and Urizen's case. same mind. different people) they are a Part of Vergil. but only when combined do you get the actual character. there themes would've also messed with the vibe of the video i was going for. so i did not include them it's a can of worms. an example of what i mean is that theoretically. if you split the good and bad parts of my personality into different people. from my perspective that would not be me anymore. it would just be my best/worst tendencies personified into a new person. so it would not be the real me.
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wY16jXOat4I.html there's also one for DMC3, but i'm still looking for that. i'll edit this comment if i ever find it
