I think of it as a story of a kid growing up in a dysfunctional family in a shitty town. The first part is childhood, it’s bad but through a kid’s eyes it’s not as bad. V2 is the teen/early 20s stage, where you realize how bad it is and he’s torn between the feelings of hopelessness and the dream of escaping. V3 is late 20s/30s, the main character moved onto a better place in their lives, and can look back on the past now, seeing the good and bad and living with what happened while moving on to what will happen
Okay but can we appreciate how his voice gets deeper with each version? That’s his voice on testosterone. It reminds me of those transition timelines. That’s why v3 is my favorite. I’m so happy for him. 😊
I saw this video not too long after it came out, when I was stuck in dysphoria, but also a fear of starting T and changing in ways I was afraid of. Listening to the way his voice changed as he transitioned made me feel safe and confident, as I was dysphoric over my voice but terrified I'd never be able to sing the same way again. I love V1 but V3 is my favorite, since thats where my voice is now. I've been on T for two years, and I can't help but feel grateful. Thank you for putting all of them together in one place.
I think the actual story is about three siblings. V1 is the youngest, V2 is the middle and V3 is the oldest. The youngest doesn't really understand what's going on and doesn't really care. The middle is upset and doesn't really know what's going on. I think the oldest is depressed and upset about it but they accept it. Idk if i got that right but I'm pretty sure I did. Tell me if I got anything wrong.
