The damage threshold to knock down regular Jho must be so much higher than Savage. Savage got ko'd almost every counter; but watching Jho get hit mid animation only caused a regular flinch. That's so weird.

I don't know why but I felt it too, in the base game Regular Jho is rare to get flinched. When Iceborne comes Savage Jho feels easier because he really often get flinched and exhausted. This is my opinion based on my experience.

Capcom nerfed Savage Jho in a update (Rajang update?). When Iceborne just release, Savage Jho is a beast. It help me to take down seething Bazelgeuse, it deals 500 damage every time.

But capcom did make him flinch super easy i guess so people would have an easier time, tho alittle disheartening cuz rajang and raging brachy feel like they just power through everything.

@@dart.115 Again, I'm more than happy to be corrected if I'm wrong, but I still can't find any evidence of that being the case. The lore I've found mentions that Savage Devijho eat anything, including it's own kind, but it doesn't say anything about it becoming a "Savage Deviljho" from the act of cannibalization; only that a Savage Devijho is a Deviljho that was driven mad and frenzied by it's own hunger.

This just shows how Iceborne Savage isn't as bad as Old World Savage (in terms of power), before, Savage Jho was considered an Alatreon Tier monster (if not worse), now, he gets flailed by Rajang and even regular Jho, i know this is gonna annoy some but in my opinion, he should've been harder and stronger than what he is.

I feel like a lot of savage joes breath weapons weren't counted as hitting. A couple times regular Joe was fully enveloped in the breath weopon and took no damage.

nope, only some monsters do. Rajang and deviljho for example, you could actually see which monsters are dealing damage from the appearing numbers tho.

@@docf8202 nah, all monsters deal damage to each other, whether a damage number appears or not. I've had some flinch to fireballs and even small monster tackles. There are some compilations of small monsters last-hitting large mobs. It has always been a thing even in the old games.

@@docf8202 Load your game, go to the arena, select the double Diablos hunt, let them kill each other, there's your proof. Stop spreading misinformation if you actually have no idea what you're talking about. MH always had monsters dealing damage to each other for over a decade, it was how we did dual monster hunts. In fact there was even a special update in MHW to remove monster damage between Rathian and Rathalos, Pink and Azure as well as Gold and Silver, every other monster besides Teo and Luna does damage to each other.

I feel that the calculator was wrong, as far as I renember Savage Jho deals drag damage and Jho is weak to that but it never seems to deal much damage, while Jho knocks 10% hp of the other in 1 hit? Idk seems weird to me
