I love how he tackles low to take out his victim's vertical base. 99% of these tackles were ankle or leg tackles and I'm not saying that's a bad thing you don't always need to go for the big hit. Clean tackling thus avoiding potential injuries and penalties is far better than the big hit imo.
As a Jags fan I am beyond excited, looks like the ceiling is as high as could be for a linebacker and likewise with the floor, excited to see what he can do this season
As a jags fan my self I'm so excited for the season our deffense is gonna be scary with our defensive draft and the peices of veterans we got on deffense we gonna be a top 10 deffense this year
Man this dude is such a smart tackler haven’t seen this kind of player in a long time very HIGH IQ intelligent . All pro written all over this dude at the next level just needs to stay healthy
@@Sumobrosb true I agree but we need another LB to pair with queen and this is going be a top LB in few years I guarantee. Remember this day. We have needs everywhere on defense tbh and I have plenty scenarios schemed in my head I have done where we could take him and still fill those two needs as well. I hope they trade back in first or second regardless and if they take someone like him dont be shock they trade back up for the OT
@@tonytone1395 I actually forgot about Dean. Idk how lol. Can't go wrong with either one. I would give a slight edge to Dean because of the conference he plays in.
In 2-3 seasons after some NFL coaching & conditioning, Troy Andersen, hands down, will be the best MLB of this draft...&, quite frankly, it won't even be that close or much of a debate!!!
@@amymoore9686 I'll tell you what I never heard of them I just look him up and watched his highlights. I've never seen a linebacker/quarterback in my life LOL. The kid is crazy athletic and has all the physical attributes you need. You said it well when you said in a couple years with good coaching the only thing that makes me nervous is the fact that he plays in a terrible conference. He wouldn't be running away from defenders in a top conference but his defensive game I believe would translate almost as well
Talk about a complete package, wow! Solid all the way around: filling gaps, covering the zone, form tackling, closing speed, tackles for loss, pass breakups, open field tackling, and great drive strength/physicality for one on one and blitzes. He will be a serious NFL player no doubt
He reminds me alot of Zach Cunningham which is still a solid lb with growing potential, but I don't think he belongs in a class of a Micah Parsons, that just wouldn't be wise where talking about a whole different class of athleticism with that, I actually prefer Dean even tho he's undersized I believe hes one of the smartest guys in terms of play recognition since Luke Keuckly
@@gagechavez5473 There's always a place for a stud like Lloyd with his versatile skill set in any defense. Not to mention Jewell, Johnson and Young are all free agents... we could most definitely use the 9th pick on Lloyd
@@jessemoser2764 definitely not, we need better rushers and a QB and to improve the o line the linebacker core is fine with young guys we just drafted last year.
@@gagechavez5473 I see what your saying, but we really only have Browning (who showed flashes but still unproven) unless we resign one of the guys. But you address needs in free agency and draft for value. And Lloyd imo is a better prospect than Ojabo, Johnson, Karlaftis etc, not to mention he's versatile enough to put him in situations to rush the passer as well. The edge class is also crazy deep which can be addressed with a second rounder and I don't think any QB is worth the ninth overall, for our team at least.
For anybody saying he's going to the Dallas Cowboys, he's not falling that far. If he ever fell to #21 and I doubt he will even fall that far, New England Patriots would draft him to replace 31 year old Dont'a Hightower.
Why people always gotta bring my boys up. We gone do what we always do draft well and first round exit from the playoffs. 💯 Hate it but true. It's still #DC4L⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐💍
Ya know I’ve been saying I don’t see the eagles getting a linebacker we just don’t love drafting them but if this guy is there and they pass on him Me and howie gotta fight lol
Such a GREAT amount of patience and processing and BOOM 💥, AN INCREDIBLE BURST OF SPEED AND POWER! VERY UNIQUE, I see him as a Bush or Parsons LB for recent comparisons, or Seau and Urlacher for past comparison 😀 Hope My Texans luck up and they take him at 13 if he's available
He is a beast! My only critique on him is that he lunges/leaves his feet a lot on tackle attempts, or stops his feet entirely on contact. I'd like to see him drive his feet and his hips through his tackles. Stronger NFL backs and QBs will be able to break some of these tackles.
What was his time? Who cares about the 40, he goes from 0-100 in a blink of an eye. He's got that closing speed, that explosive burst. Super impressive. He's a stud. I could care less about his 40. I don't see him needing to catch anybody from behind.
Of course a youngboy fan made this lmao .. but I’m happy for my Jags great pick here and to trade up ahead of Patriots cause I had a feeling belicheck was going to take Lloyd for sure but we snuck in there!
First of all nice shoe string tackle ol skool luv it coverage in the backfield luv it if he start to be disruptive with qbs and rbs ....next ray Lewis facts
Hey Howie, Give me Devin Lloyd at 15 and Nakobi Dean at 16, and Garret Wilson at 19! Kaiir Elam in the 2nd... I will say Howie for GM of the year! (Wil N. Dean, MLB TJ Edwards, SAM Devin Lloyd)
We don’t need back to back LB’s smh. And Gwil isn’t the type of WR we need. I’d take that kid from Arkansas before him he reminds me of DK we need a big bodied WR
@@davideversole9786 Bro did u read my comment, I'm saying that I doubt he goes top 10. I never said anything about how his going to turn out as a player
@@danielgarza9940 I don't know what you've been looking at, yet scouts don't place too much emphasis on the combine. The tape doesn't lie. Shut up and get a clue.
People saying take chance? This is going to translate, BIG TIME. Wait until he puts that weight on also... Gritty, loves contact, sure tackler...meaning if he is "shoe stringing" or ankle tackling...it's because he knows he's going to be able to drop them...nose for the ball like JOK...just a bigger version.
Yeah, ILB in a 3-4, Sam in a 4-3, Hell he can probably play the Mike in in a 4-3 and even OLB in a 3-4 tho I'll have him at will. Looked great at the combine and plays much faster than his forty. 1st round talent easy
