Since 1977 until recently,Devo have never failed to deliver when singing Uncontrollable Urge live. One of the great original bands.Nerdy Punk Rock in ways.
Your new Energy domes magnifies & blocks alternating values of devolution coming through the transdimensional vector. If you were unfortunate to pass up the dome ,make friends with a dome leader, it's your only hope
I never cared for the bass synthesizer Jerry used on this tour You could hardly hear it and it just sounded too Digital for Devo's hardcore Punk sound to me
@@MrFloppy131 Pretty sure they were. Just listen to Mr. DNA, especially the version at Lollapalooza 1996 which is most certainly punk rock, and just because they're synths and jumpsuits not leather jackets and studs doesn't mean they're not punk. They're definitely punk in attitude and I'd say they're pretty punk in sound on quite a lot of numbers (like I'd call their first album and first single Punk but not something like Freedom Of Choice), and they've put even more focus on the distorted guitar live nowadays.
Agreed, though I think it’s usually due to bad sound mixing. There’s a lot of that in these types of live videos for a lot of bands. I’m assuming that it sounded better in person. But it does always sound thin since vocals guitar and drums usually get pushed forward in live broadcast.
