I got to see you at Bonnaroo this year... your set changed my life. On the way home I listened to your discography. This one made me cry... and for that I thank you. Music has been healing for me now more than ever.
I just accidentally came across his music , and dame I can’t get enough, he’s my new teddy Pendergast ,I’m a man and if you’re having any problems with your other half just push play
I just saw you on cbs morning. I’m so happy I found you. Absolutely beautiful voice, great lyrics, such talent. Thank you for making this world a better place by sharing your gift with me! ❤️ I’m binging every song now 😂
This song gives me vibes from a time in America when I wasn't even born. Just cruising through a n old, classic version of Chicago and NY at night in one of those old cars😂(btw I'm not even American; I don't know why it gave me such a vibe😅).
The soul needs no reason for music to give a vibe. And it's not color coded. You don't have to be American either. Some of our best independent singer-songwriter types aren't American. And our American Christian hyms"alot are african proverbs". England Scotland and Sweden are notorious for giving us some of the best singer-songwriters.The banjo "Drum"is an African instrument".And the 5 string instrument was formed by African American way back. But as years went by. A 6 string was added, which gives it the bluegrass sound. However it's used by many genre's.I got a bit carried away here. I'm happy for you that this song got to you. I moved to nyc from the south not too long ago.And it's hard to find new bands. 215 am I was channel surfing and saw Devon G. On a public television channel, and looked him up. Happy to see Nashville is getting on board with the folk music. Amos Lee is great too. The ballads,he does jazzy blueish song's as well. And I don't like jazz or blues. But when he sings them I listen. But check out his ballads. "Freedom" "southern woman" etc...Protein abilities of writing. Cheers
Met your brother yesterday. Carried him to your concert for a 6:30 sound check which he was late for. Traffic was sticky and it was basically an hour long trip. This is a nice song. Oh and it was kool to find your father side is Jamaican heritage.
