Are people this dense? Its practice to train at a starting disadvantage with the elbow so far foward. There is no point in trying to win its beside the point. Devon has plenty of practice vids where he does the same intentionally puts himself in a losing position to train his side control how else will he train this specific movement?
He is pretty much like Devon, they both live armwrestling as a part of their life, they revolve around it, they train for it all the time. Devon always training at home 24/7 and Janis always training at his local gym 24/7 ( i bet the dude even has the keys to go in there whenever he wants, because he seems to train there for years and years).
Armwrestling has only one thing i dislike but it is common in all strength/competition related sports, which is the steroids. If it was a sport really really strict on testing and banning at all times. Guys like Devon & Janis would be ranked even way above what they really are. But i think it's gonna always be like this, because the steroid athletes overpowering each other and the nattys, makes that WOW effect on people and bring attention to the sport, viewing wise and $$$ wise aswell.
@@KevinLuWX also when you pull against smaller people you give them advantageous positions otherwise what's the point. Look at elbow positioning on the pad for Devon and then Janis'
@@TimmyTurner421.he competed against Denis with 246lb (113kg) . His walk around weight was 108-112 kg. After getting defeated twice in a row he decided to put some weight. Right now his walk around weight is 255-260lb(115kg+) when he is trying to be as big as he can. That time I don't think he was above 105 kg. However it does not matter as we all know that Devon is the weakest elite armwrestler.
Right here Janis has Devon but I would say it was his post RH surgery period. Devon could obviously beat Janis now easily. Having said that Janis is pound for pound one of the greats.
It's practice and Devon is giving him a lot of his hand. That said, yeah janis is strong. Still devon is letting him have position. This is in no way an indication of how this would go with a ready go.
You don’t know how deep into practice this was either. Devon is notorious for giving everything to the people he trans with just to hold them and pull from terrible spots. This could be well into a Session and Devon’s arm is probably shot. No disrespect to Janis he is a beast, but they’re just at 2 different levels.
At the end when they step away from the table and you see the size difference, it only blows your mind that much more how strong Janis is. Feel bad for anyone his weight, lol.
Lol. Look how low devons level is. People are considering seeing him vs a 80kg guy that is also past his prime. Yet people think devon is still only second to cyplenkov.
There are a lot of devin apologists on here. I like Devin too. He is very entertaining. But we must give Janis a bit more respect. When Janis was trying to pin Devin was struggling but when Devin tried to pin Janis was not budging. Pound for pound Janis is stronger.
No chance this was in 2017. That was some 5-6 years ago after Devon's surgery. Before 2012 he was unbeatable and now he is stronger than ever again. No one can catch or match him.
Devon wasn’t trying to beat him, he was allowing Janis is his strongest spot then trying to hold him; Devon could pin Janis in a second but nobody gets any proper training done that way...
@@hyenalaughingmatter8103 "It says 2017. But that's wrong. This was recorded in Sweden in 2012 right after Devon had his surgery. He is MUCH stronger today."
2017 is devons weakest year, for people that don't follow up. He had a hard time pulling a body builder, let alone a world champ elite puller like Janis, and this is the result.
@@hyenalaughingmatter8103 Lalelin pinning Devon was legit. Devon is not as strong as his 2008-2011 self, but he had recovered from his 2012 surgery to a degree in his right arm. Devon's match against Dennis was in 2018, he had surgery on his left arm a year prior. Dennis would have probably still won regardless.
@@hyenalaughingmatter8103 you are hilarious.. this video was in 2012 after devon's right arm surgery. I guess you would pull better against a top armwrestler after you are weaker than ever because of the surgery..
not yet bro. he lost many times to many people when practicing but rarely when in real competitions. Barboza just beat him not so long ago in a practice after Devon vs Frank match...
aesthetics addict This video was filmed 5 years ago when Devon had right elbow surgery. Now he is increasing strength and he'll be stronger than ever. He's already 20% stronger than when he competed in wal this year.
