Granato whispered synergy into BO's ear 3x, and told him to change his game from creative and fast paced, to the Granato system, where all you're allowed to do is stand flat footed and pass around the perimeter...unless you're The Dahlin Llama, or the pitiful Joker. Bo was easily our 2nd best defenseman when he got here!! Levi is a stud. His career will be interesting to watch
Lately, Granato has been trying Power-Dahlin pairing and it’s been working. My thoughts are that when Samuelsson comes back next season it’ll be Dahlin-Power Samuelsson-Byram Ryan Johnson-Clifton. As for the goaltending, Levi seems legit ready for the nhl, early this season we tried to pretend he was ready when he needed time in the AHL. With Eric Comrie being such a non-option, Luukkonen has stepped up and been pretty dominant. I think next season UPL plays 45-50 and Levi plays the rest, I think buffalo has finally found a true tandem in net.
@@jamesmiller6217 I’d assume so, he’s a pending RFA and he’s had a decent year but my thought is they’re going to focus on extending UPL because he’s also a pending RFA. As well as peterka and Quinn since they’re eligible for negotiation. imo it’s not worth locking him up when they need to make sure where money is going to players that are more impactful.
Levi will be good but he needs time. Rochester makes sense for him because the Amerks also don’thave any defense so Levi will have more work than normal and will acclimate him to how the Sabres play.
Thank God they sent him down to develop and gain his confidence. Personally I was being too think,Buffalo was trying to ruin Canada's best chance for a star goalie.
What happens to UPL if Levi becomes a star? Does he go to a new team? As a Jets fan, I would absolutely love to have him to back up Helle, but that's not gonna happen because UPL is a solid starter and wouldn't want to be a backup.
