I love this!!! I love seeing big town drummers getting pushed passed their limit. Because it shows the people that they can still grow. I was definitely annoyed with the host after awhile but then when Dev came back wit that nasty, I understood what he was doing cause I've experienced that same feeling. It's like when Goku goes Kaioken before he goes Super Saiyan. He's pushing past his limits and it burns almost all the stamina in the world but once you hit that super saiyan level, you feel like you just achieved something beautiful. I totally went waaaaay left with this lol

He soo wants the attention,himself that's why he keeps narrating and won't shut up!!! Who narrates and stops and restarts a drum solo except a dude with a mic who neeeedes the attention!!! This man don't need no choreography but the singer won't SHUT UP!!!!

I'm not trying to say I can play as good as that cat but at the end of the day I've heard those licks and seen those licks a million times. It's like watching those videos were people try to show you how to play like John Bonham. Its been said and done enough already. I would have been more impressed if I had gone Clyde stubblefield or Jabo Starks and just kept some serious wicked time and played a nasty funk beat that makes you want to Bob your head.
I definitely feel what you're saying.. I guess these days , while watching drummers , we have to search for something else . Maybe lay into Studying techniques ... Or just delivery in itself .
I look forward to the day when he realises the space is what makes music special. at the moment everything is in FULL CAPS !!! I don't know.. maybe it's the whole scene with the boys hanging out expecting him to do that Fast kid on the block routine.. Chops.... I was expecting a little more groove though. Dev got skills for sure. But 98 percent of drummers start ripping speed in solos and it sounds all the same. People listening with me right now who aren't drummers don't understand why this is good or considered skills. And I have to break down what makes it good
Cujo then watch another drummer. It’s called “drum solo” for a reason. Are you stupid . If he is playing at the gig the groove comes out but when he’s asked to solo wtf do you expect ?
@@Joshstix95 I'm a professional drummer and teacher. Most drummers solo for other drummers and not the audience as a whole. The people that were watching this with me don't understand the language and complexity of this and it didn't sound good to them. Who are we to argue with them about what they like or don't like. You seem like you may have some skills but you need to mature
